Beckhead as the name suggests sits at the head of the Butcherbeck Burn that tumbles past the cottage. A secluded garden with patio and barbaque offers our guests a little piece of Dumfriesshire to simply relax and unwind. The cottage sits in the middle of the farm, from where you can walk to the many places of interest on the farm. There are roe deer and badgers very close to the cottage and can be seen regularly passing by. Our loch offers free fishing or a place simply to sit and relax may be have a picnic.

For the bird life enthusiast there is a bird hid to sit and watch the ducks, geese and wading birds that reside with us.

At night you can sit by the open fire and contemplate your day with a nice glass of wine.

On arrival you will receive your complimentary free range eggs, and an order form for your Sunday paper which will be delivered.

Each year in July, Annan celebrates riding the boundaries of the Royal Burgh. Up to 100 horses ride behind a group of picked riders to carry the flag. The ride comes through our farm where the main riders stop for refreshments and a great chance to see the tradition up close.

For all bird watching enthusiasts, there are many places to see a range of birds on mudflats, woodlands and farmland. Caerlaverock wetland center, Caerlaverock National Nature Reserve and Galloway Kite Trail are all very close by.
