Cottage | 3 bedrooms | sleeps 6
Williamwood Cottage is a lovely newly refurbished farm cottage, set in its own secluded garden. A patio with garden furniture leading from the master bedroom is ideal for sunny summer breakfasts. This cottage is ideal for families and is well within walking distance of our new CHILDREN'S PLAY FARM, where we have a variety of minature animals to cuddle. Also within the area is a play area complete with climbing farm and for Mum and Dad a picnic area to take in the views over the Solway Coast.
Should you be more inclined to walking, cycling, photography or riding, we have a newly created circular route round the farm, all fenced off from the animals but allowing you to see our highland cattle, sheep and ponies in their natural habitat. These areas are AWARD WINNING CONSERVATION areas and the opportunities to see many species of birds, animals flora and fauna are abundant, we can even let you sit in one of our hides to watch badgers playing at night.
PICNIC HORSEBACK RIDES can be organised and the views from the top of the farm are stunning.
You will receive a welcome pack on your arrival to the cottage, including complementary eggs from our free range chickens and lots of information about the farm, including walking routes.
Whilst you are with us, you have access to our own loch where you can FLY FISH . Ride one of our HIGHLAND PONIES or HELP OUT ON THE FARM. DURING EASTER WE ARE OFFERING WORK EXPERIENCES OF LAMBING SHEEP.
We are very well situated for the M6 and M75 and are anly 15 minutes from the famous GRENTA GREEN OUTLET VILLAGE AND BLACKSMITH'S SHOP. Shops in the nearby market town of Annan are only 5 miles and the beach 10 miles.
We have won awards from the RSPB twice now, being awarded NATURE IN FARMING WINNER FOR SCOTLAND 2013 so if photography and wildelife is your thing then Williamwood is for you.
