Set in quite countryside and yet only 1.8 miles from the M74.

We are a working farm where we keep sheep, Highland cows and ponies and our little star a mini pig called Tottie, all of whom are there to be visited and if you like help us on the farm. Check out www.willaimwoodfarm.com for more pictures of the animals.

Williamwood cottage (6 people)
Is a very comfortably furnished with 2 bathrooms, 2 double bedrooms, (one en-suite) and a twin. A log burning stove with ample supplies of logs offers a cosy night in.

You will receive a welcome pack on your arrival to the cottage, including complementary eggs from our free range chickens and lots of information about the farm, including walking routes where you will see all our sheep and cows along with the new arrivals being a foal and all the calves.

Whilst you are with us, you have the chance to learn how to fly fish and have a go on one of our ponies, and for dinner, sample some of our home grown Highland beef steaks. That’s if you are not lucky enough to have a caught a trout for dinner!

Shops in the nearby market town of Annan are only 5 miles away and the beach 10 miles. We are within 15 minutes from the famous Gretna Green. There are many local activities soft play, swimming, mountain biking, horse riding and much more all within 30 minutes of the cottages.

We have won an RSPB award for conservation and the benefits for our guests are there to be seen. As you walk around our loch you can see the many wild flowers established over the last 3 years, see the bird life from the hide, and as you walk around the chances of seeing a deer or a fox are high.

We have provided a barbecue and seating for you to enjoy.

A good house keeping deposit of £150.00 is required on booking, this is then returned within 7 days of your stay.
A minimal charge of £15.00 if you bring dogs, only to cover extra cleaning costs.

Each year in July, Annan celebrates riding the boundaries of the Royal Burgh. Up to 100 horses ride behind a group of picked riders to carry the flag. The ride comes through our farm where the main riders stop for refreshments and a great chance to see the tradition up close.

For all bird watching enthusiasts, there are many places to see a range of birds on mudflats, woodlands and farmland. Caerlaverock wetland center, Caerlaverock National Nature Reserve and Galloway Kite Trail are all very close by.
