The apartment is situated just 1.5 km from the ski lifts and is adjacent to walking, hiking and mountain biking trails. Nestled in a peaceful mountainside location yet providing easy access to the city of Salzburg and some of Austria's most renowned attractions.

The apartment is light and spacious and benefits from its own large private balcony. It has uninterrupted mountain views and overlooks the village of Annaberg where you can find a good range of local amenities. The apartment is ideal for families and small groups, sleeping between 2 to 10 people.

The Austrian Alps / Salzburgerland / Salzburgerland region

Nestled at the foot of the breathtaking Bischofsmute Mountain, the scenic village of Annaberg is surrounded by mountain ranges. A Gateway to the Dachstein West Ski Area with 147km of groomed slopes, boarder parks & some superb off piste. It’s also a perfect starting point for mountain walks, hiking and mountain biking trails.
The village has many local amenities including it’s own tourist information office, ski school & hire, bank, post-office, grocery stores, butchers, bakers, cafes & restaurants. There is also a garage and a regular bus service to surrounding towns & a free ski bus in the winter season.

In Winter the Dachstein West Ski Region offers you one of the loveliest skiing areas in Austria right on your doorstep. It has a reputation for being one of the most family friendly resorts in Austria. There are 46 ski lifts, including modern gondolas, 147 km of groomed slopes as well as 130 km of cross-country ski trails. There are a wide variety of slopes suitable for beginners, intermediates and experts, and off piste there is some deep snow for powder lovers and two boarder parks offering a variety of rails and kickers.

The region not only offers some superb skiing but also great value for money. All children under 6 can ski for free, including ski course & ski equipment (for 5 days), and children under 15 ski free when at least one parent or grandparent buys a ski pass at the full tariff. Additionally if you purchase a pass for 1½ days or more you can also use it to ski in 7 other regions which are all reachable in a short distance.

In Summer the Lammertal offers a walking, hiking and biking paradise perfect for nature lovers who cannot fail to appreciate the diversity of Austria’s scenery. You’ll have no option but to take in the pure mountain air, the pristine environment and wonder at the spectacular Alpine views with their lush meadows and crystal clear lakes. The array of flowers, including the rare ‘Knabenkraut’ orchid, and Austria’s wildlife make for an irresistible and special nature experience.

Between the Tennengebirge Mountains and the Dachstein massif ambitious hikers and mountaineers can find over 300 marked trails and climbing routes. For mountain bikers there are a choice of 20 different trails totalling 720km. There are also more leisurely trails for families and children to explore and you could visit some of the beautiful lakes in the area, from the small quiet lakes in the countryside to some of the larger lakes such as Hallstatesee, Traunsee and St Wolfgang. The attractions are endless and there is without a doubt something for everyone.

If Travelling by Car from Salzburg
Follow the A10 south towards Graz/Villach. After passing both the Hallein and Kuchl junctions, take the next exit for Golling. Head along this road towards Scheffau and Abtenau. Pass through Scheffau up the hill until you reach Abtenau. Pass through Abtenau towards Annaberg/St Martin. Once through the village of Abtenau the road will bear to the left but at this point there is a road on the right sign posted to Annaberg/St Martin. Take this turning which has a very sharp bend on the right. This road will lead to Annaberg. Immediately prior to the entry sign for Annaberg turn right over a wooden bridge and turn right again following the road uphill. Travel along this road for 1km keeping to the right and you will find the property.

Rail / Bus Route
From the airport take the bus for a short trip to the Main train station in Salzburg. Take a train to Golling. From here you can take a further bus to Abtenau and then Annaberg or take a taxi.

If Travelling by Taxi
From the airport a taxi from Annaberg can be arranged. The cost is approximately €100 which is about £60 depending on exchange rates.

The Apartment has two large guest bedrooms. Each bedroom can sleep up to four with either a double bed and bunks or twin single beds and bunks. There is also a double bed settee in the lounge area. The sun streams in through the windows and each room has access to the double aspect balcony providing panoramic views. If you are looking for a room with a view you will not be disappointed.
