Annaberg / Russbach area
Russbach, famous as valley of the fossils, is a small hamlet surrounded by mountains. there are mountain restaurants and bars /gasthof in the village. There is a tourist office, bank, supermarket and village shop, plus petrrol station.
The cable car for skiing starts in the village and links to two other villages. Cable car operates in summer also for hiking and mountain biking.
In the summer there is a waterpark for kids in the village too. The Austrian lake district is a 30 min drive away as well as the historic village of Hallstadt.

Car hire at Salzburg airport; Hertz, Eurocar, Sixt. Fly to Salzburg everyday from Stanstead,London via Ryanair. Also Jet2 in winter from Leeds Bradford. Thompson from regional airports. Easy Jet from Edinburgh to Munich.
