About the home

BEACHCOMBER, just 200ft from 7 miles of white sandy beach, is a beautifully furnished cottage with 2 bedrooms, 1 double and 1 twin. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom. There is also a 2nd bathroom with shower, WC and basin only.
A large open plan living room, kitchen, dining room leads out onto a fabulous L shaped deck, with ample space for dining, sunbathing and eating.
Utility room with washing machine and dryer.
The large protected spa pool with swimming jets and jacuzzi is situated on ground level with plenty of shade. The property is surrounded by tropical foliage and palm trees making it very private. Beachcomber can be rented together with our other property Seabreeze which is next door for larger groups.

Please note that due to some works which have recently been carried out inside, the space around the dining table has become quite restricted and therefore we do not feel the property is able to accommodate any more than 3 people comfortably. This is something that we are hoping to rectify, but it may not be in time for your requested dates, and therefore you may need to consider this when deciding if the property would be suitable for you.

BEACHCOMBER is fitted out to a high standard with all mod cons! It is fresh, bright and airy inside. It lends itself to carefree entertaining and a very relaxing holiday.
The bedrooms can accommodate 2 double beds or a double and 2 twins for versatile sleeping arrangements.

Further details outdoors:
Whilst a sea view is not actually possible, this is only due to the beautiful tropical plants surrounding Beachcomber! You are moments from the most beautiful beach and for at home relaxing we have a newly installed spa pool which operates on a jet function allowing you to swim against the force of the jets for exercise, alternatively you can just relax and use it as a spa pool or jacuzzi!

A book with lots of information on local amenities, Restaurants, things to do as well as emergency contact numbers awaits you at the house together with the contact number for our local manager.
Please note we do not allow pets and all our properties are non smoking.

Conditions

On reservation we require a £400.00 security damage deposit which is refunded after the holiday providing there is no damage to the property. The balance of the rental monies become due 12 weeks berofe the start of your holiday.

Please also note that a surcharge may be applied for all bookings that are less than a week.

Anna Maria has a fairly constant temperature throughout the year. The average high being around 80 degrees.
The Island is left back in time offering a slower pace of life and is more relaxing than the mainland Florida. Perfect for a relaxing holiday or a complete relax after an Orlando experience! Dolphin watching is popular along with the many birds seen all over the island, ibis, parrots and pelicans to mention just a few.

The Anna Maria Island area

Fishing, tennis, bowles, skateboarding, paragliding, jet sking, surfing, bike hire and kayaking are amongst some of the local activities. Walk along the 7 mile white sandy beach or visit the local antique, clothing, gift, or craft shops!
Numerous restaurants offer a huge range of dining from very casual beach restaurants and piers to very romantic, as well as the more exclusive.

Whilst we do not specifically recommend airlines or car hire companies there are plenty of companies available on line for rates. Sarasota is about 30 minutes drive away and Tampa is aprox 1 hr 15 minutes.

British Airways, North West, Delta, United Airlines, US Airlines, Continental, US AIrways and Virgin. British Airways has a direct flight to Tampa.

“Beautiful island setting” The cottage is a place to really get away from it all. It is a beautiful island where we watched sunsets and the dolphins swimming past every night from the beach 2 minutes away. If you like a buzzing nightlife this is not the place for you. If you just want to relax then it is perfect. You definitely need a car to get around and we went to get all our supplies from the Publix supermarket at Manatee where the causeway joins the island to the mainland. The kitchen and house are well equipped with everything you need to cook meals and the huge fridge keeps everything nice and chilled. I would say over all it is a little dated now and a bit crowded with the wooden staircase in the dining area.
