About the home

Shell Cottage is situated just 200ft away from the beautiful white sandy beach of Anna Maria which is 7 miles long. Set in a quiet leafy lane Shell shares our heated pool with our other 2 cottages and can be rented together or separately.
Whilst this is a 1 bed cottage we have a sofa bed which then allows us to accommodate up to 4.It has a conecting door so if required can be booked with Seahorse cottage makeing it a 3 bed 2 Bath cottage.

This light and fully air conditioned cottage which is fully equipped & comfortabley furnished is the perfect retreat for a relaxing holiday.
Situated in the nature reserve part on Anna Maria where you can walk along the beach and see Dolphins play, Pelicans dive, Herons, Ibis, Parrots and numerous other beautiful birds.
Rent a bike and follow the bike tracks around the Island or use the free Trolly bus. Enjoy fishing, Tennis, Boules
Scateboarding, Golf or visit the local Gym or spa. A perfect Island for doing as little or as much as you want.
Numerous Restaurants for every taste and quaint craft, book, antigue markets, art galleries & clothes shops.
Book a boat and go sight seeing or deep sea fishing. Fish off the local Peirs.
Visit the neighbouring Island of Longboat Key or take a trip off the Island to a Theme Park or Outlet centre.

Fully air conditioned and comfortably furnished we aim to let your holiday start as soon as you arrive. Light rooms with french doors leading from the sitting room out onto the pool area offer a superb view of the beautifully planted tropical garden.
Bathroom offers bath with shower over and kitchen is equipped with everything you should need.
We offer cable TV and there is a phone in the cottage to receive calls and to make local calls.

By simply walking through a lovely leafy lane you arrive at the beautiful beach of Anna Maria, or choose to stay and while away your day in the hammock in the dappled shade. Safety is of the highest importance to us and the doors leading from this property come directly into the pool area. They are alarmed for your own peace of mind. Our pool is deep, 4 feet at the shallow end and we always advise complete supervision over children and non swimmers. Due to this we do not recomend this cottage for children. The alarm does have an on off switch
but we have to recomend that this is not turned off. If for any reason you dont think this is working when you arrive there is a tel no for you to call to get it rectified imeadiatley. If rented with Seahorse this door can be double locked and padlocked.

You rental price includes all bedding and towels, the property will be spotless on your arrival and we ask you leave it as you find it!
There is a welcome pack on your arrival and we have an American manager whose details are made available to you, she is there to help with any queries and has a great local knowledge. We also have a comprehensive information pack to help you with all the local activities.

Conditions

All our properties are non smoking.
We ask for a £200.00 refundable security deposit on reservation and this is returned after your holiday providing there has been no breakages or damage. Please also note that a surcharge may be applied for all bookings that are less than a week.

The Florida / Florida Gulf Coast region

Anna Maria island is a slower pace of life! Approached by bridges from the mainland it offers a beautiful sugar white coastline surrounded by lovely gulf water. Anna Maria is a nature reserve where you can watch Dolphins from the beach, see turtles, tortoises, herons, pelicans, parrots and many other beautiful birds and forms of wildlife.
Known as a piece of paradise Anna Maria is a place to relax and enjoy & with numerous restaurants that cater for every taste you will never be short of somewhere to eat.
The climate is pretty constant temperatures being mainly in the 80's, coolest times being January and February. Rainfall is highest in September.

There are many activities offered on Anna Maria, from tennis, skateboarding, Surfing, Kite Surfing, Boules to kayaking, parasailing, bike rental, fish from the Piers or take a fishing charters, rent a boat, sail, jetski or skim board. Visit the antique markets, book or clothes shops, craft stalls or just sit back and relax.

Whilst we do not specifically recommend airlines or car hire companies there are plenty of companies available on line for rates. Sarasota is about 30minutes drive away and Tampa is aprox 1 hour & 15 minutes.

All bedding and towels are provided. The property is cleaned before and after your visit by our manager, but we do ask that you leave it in a good manor when you depart.

All rates are subject change and to to all applicable taxes, currently 11.5%

A security/damage deposit of £200-350 will be required to secure a booking.

A surcharge will be applied for bookings of less than 7 nights and also a Sunday check-in will carry a surcharge.

If you need to cancel your holiday for any reason we will not be able to refund any monies paid and therefore we recommend you should takes out your own travel insurance to cover you in case of this.

US taxes (currently 11.5%) will be added to the above weekly rates.
