Villa Swalletta is a wonderfully furnished 3-bed holiday home in a "prime position" on the favoured edge of the popular St Christopher’s Village development with superb views of the beautiful surrounding countryside with its rolling hills, valleys, olive trees and orange groves.
Villa Swalletta is a modern 3-bedroom villa (sleeps 6-8 as it has an additional sofa-bed) with its own private pool. No expense has been spared on the stylish furniture and interiors to make sure you have all the luxuries you need for an enjoyable stay.
Each of the 3 bedrooms at Villa Swalletta has its own en-suite shower room or en-suite bathroom. We have a double room on the ground floor. The other 2 bedrooms are upstairs. A twin room located at the front of the property and the master bedroom looking out over the back towards the hills and countryside. Here you can sit on the balcony listening to the birds first thing in the morning whilst enjoying your coffee waiting for the rest of the family to surface!

Only 500m from the local supermarket, charming tavernas and bars in Anafotida itself and a short drive to Mazotos or Anglisides where there is a wider selection of shops, supermarket, pharmacy, bars, restaurants and the beach (Mazotos).
The Villa is approximately 15 mins from Larnaca airport, through wonderful traditional Cypriot villages along the coastline and scenic country roads. We also give you the quicker driving directions via the A5 Motorway towards Limassol!

The villa has been designed to a very high standard with your comfort and peace of mind our priority. Bedrooms are all furnished with coordinating and stylish cushions, throws and lighting. Clean, crisp bed linen is included in the price of the villa.
Furthermore; as we have children ourselves; we have made sure that there are plenty of child-friendly items in the villa for you such as: plastic cutlery, plates, bowls, plenty of pool/beach toys, cot bed with extra thick mattress and linen, a high chair and stair gate if required. We also have a selection of indoor toys and games for the children.
Villa includes: 3-bedrooms, 3 en-suite bath and/or shower rooms, 1 separate downstairs cloakroom/toilet, private swimming pool (drenched in sunshine all day long!!), luxury fitted kitchen, air conditioning, plasma flat screen satellite TV, DVD (with selection of titles), Bed linen together with both pool/beach towels and bath/hand towels all supplied.
The master bedroom which has the balcony overlooking the pool and the great views at the rear, has an en-suite Bathroom with a bath and overhead shower and toilet. The second bedroom upstairs is the twin bedroom with 2 single beds and an en-suite shower room and toilet. The third bedroom is downstairs and is a double bed with a further en-suite shower room and toilet. Also downstairs is a separate toilet - handy if you have anyone sleeping on the sofa-bed in the lounge.
All our guests receive a complimentary copy of our 30-page Guest Information Pack crammed full of handy information about the property (extra photos and room specific details), information about the area, things to do, beaches, entertainment, eating out, tourism, car hire companies, flight companies, sport and leisure and much, much more.

Relax and unwind beside the pool in the sun-drenched garden with its amazing views of the surrounding countryside. Stylish wicker effect garden furniture, parasol and recliners are all provided. (We have an extra 2 sunbeds so you have 6 in total to use). We also have a brand new charcoal BBQ for al fresco dining.
Our outside Toy Box houses a selection of Balls, Floats, Goggles, Toys and inflatables to use in the pool or at the beaches.

The villa is rented on a weekly basis and prices are in £Sterling per week for the villa, regardless of the number of guests staying. (See Rental rates section). We do ask our customers for a security/damage deposit of £300 (Sterling) to confirm your reservation. This will be returned within 2 weeks of check out.
The Larnaca region
Larnaca enjoys a Mediterranean climate, with abundant sunshine year round. Long dry summers and mild winters are separated by short autumn and spring seasons. Summer is a time of high temperatures with cloudless skies, but the sea breeze creates a pleasant atmosphere in the coastal areas. Winters are mild, with some rain and snow on Troodos Mountains where you can hire skis and go skiing (see below).
Nestled on the shores of Larnaka Bay, you will find Larnaca town. Once one of the Mediterranean's main trade centres, the city owed much of its wealth during ancient times to the extensive salt-lakes which can be found a couple of miles from the city centre. Today, Larnaca can count itself amongst the most popular destinations in Cyprus, a fact which is reflected by the current expansion of the town's international airport, the forthcoming construction of the new Larnaca Golf and Country Club and even plans for a new marina during the next few years.
The Anafotida area
Cyprus is a wonderful island of contrasts. Where else could you ski in the morning and then be sunning yourself by the pool in the afternoon!!!!???
SKIING - Skiing is usually available in the winter months from the beginning of January to the end of March. There are 5 slopes and 4 lifts (Hera, Aphrodite, Hermes and Zeus) and runs vary in ability for beginners through to advanced and they even offer routes for cross country skiers. You can hire equipment at the Cyprus Ski Club “ski shop”. Get there early though, as, on a busy weekend, the best equipment goes very fast!
TROODOS MOUNTAINS - Located in the heart of Cyprus, the locals have christened the mountains a “Walker's Paradise” due to the vast array of fabulous trails. But there’s no shortage of sporting activities for the energetic amongst you from skiing in the winter to paragliding, mountain bike riding, hiking, running and even rock climbing! There's also a multitude of sightseeing excursions in the Troodos Mountains. Take your pick from Byzantine Cypriot churches to the wine producing villages on the southern Troodos hills. Visit the Venetian Bridges near Tres Elias village or the village of Fini where you can buy some local handmade pottery. Or go and see the monks at the Kykkos Monastery.
ANAFOTIDA - the villa is only 200-300m from Anafotida, a traditional Cypriot village located in the Larnaca District of Cyprus, west of Larnaca. The village is mainly agricultural, with tomatoes being a dominant crop. The village centre is small, but there are 4 churches, 4 cafés (1 is a restaurant), a butcher, a small post office/shop, a bank (no ATM though), a barber shop, a small hairdresser’s and a garage.
ANGLISIDES - is about 3km from Anafotida and has numerous cafés, 2 banks with ATMs, a lovely bakers and 2 small garden centres. It also has 2 supermarkets with good supplies to save you going in to Larnaca.
MAZOTOS - located about twelve miles south-west of Larnaca town and 5 mins from the villa, is a traditional Cypriot village, again, primarily of agricultural nature with an abundance of Olive groves to be found in the surrounding area. Whist the village proper is somewhat set back from the coast, a few restaurants and even the Camel Park - a very popular local tourist attraction (great for adults and kids alike), can be found closer to the seafront.
The beach at Mazotos is only 5-10 minutes away where you'll see many people walking along the scenic walkway, fishing or sunbathing. There is also a fantastic fish restaurant here, tucked away down a little lane off the main road, right on the beach called "ACROYIALLI". It has a play area for the children and also sells chicken and other non-fish dishes.
If you’re looking for something a little livelier than Anafotida, Anglisides and Mazotos, then Larnaca, with its vibrant nightlife, is only a 15-20 minute drive away. Alternatively, you could go in to Limassol, which is slightly further along the coast in the opposite direction (approx 30 mins away). As with Larnaca, Limassol has a very varied and vibrant night-life being a popular tourist resort for many years.
Agia Napa, Protaras and Pernera are about a 40 minute drive along the A3 motorway from the villa. Here you'll find a multitude of attractions, beaches, bars, discos and restaurants. At Agia Napa you can also enjoy the fantastic Water Word Waterpark - the largest themed water park in Europe (it really is worth a trip - we have been there many times). Larnaca airport has undergone a major expansion and opened a brand new 3 story terminal building and extended the runway. The new modern airport has a more efficient baggage hall, passport control and much better shopping and dining facilities.

When I booked my holiday, I was looking for a well-equipped villa in a peaceful location with lots of opportunities to walk, run and cycle. Villa Swalletta surpassed all of my expectations. Arriving at night, I was delighted the next morning to see the stunning views from the back of the villa of fields and hills criss-crossed by inviting tracks stretching for miles into the distance. The paths were perfect for trail running and mountain-biking and I ran every day alongside fields of tomatoes and beans and through olive groves and orchards of pomegranate trees to the neighbouring towns and villages of Anglisides and Mazotos. Views from the summits of some of the hills within easy reach of the villa were awesome . The area was great for road biking too as the roads were generally quiet and flat and fast along the coast. Cyclists are particularly well-catered for with the provision of specially created cycle routes alongside the main coastal road. I didn't have time during this holiday, but next time I would aim to cycle the challenging winding uphill route (11km or so) up to Lefkara, where the lacemakers hang out or explore the trails and tracks in the Troodos Mountains which sound fabulous. I didn't hire a car whilst at the villa but found that I could travel further afield to the busier resort of Larnaca by public transport. A bus left Anofotida every morning at 9am from a stop about 300m from the village centre, returning at approx 1.30pm and 5.30pm. For just 2 euros a trip! The villa is only about 3 minutes walk from the centre of the village where the friendly owners of Cafe Aman serve extremely generous portions of typical cypriot grilled meats and salads. Most people speak some English, but even those that don't are keen to welcome you into the other three thriving bars in the centre. In short, Villa Swalletta proved it could be an ideal base for athletes or cyclists to enjoy some high quality warm weather training whilst exploring the many attractions that that part of the island has to offer. |

Lovely villa: homely but very well equipped. Three ensuites plus cloakroom - really useful. Spacious, plenty of storage, attractive cool marble, efficient aircon - couldn't fault it. Having use of a car is definitely desirable (car hire cost us only 230 Euros for 10 days) but if you just want to laze by the pool and read, you can walk to Anafotia to get in your basics. One meal at Cafe Amma will keep you going for 3 days anyway! Try Secret Paradise beach nr Alaminos or Mackenzies in Larnaka or Governor's on the way to Limassol. Pervolia very good for restaurants. Anglisides (less than 10 mins away) good for supermarket shopping and especially for its bakery. 5-star rating for villa itself and whole experience. |
