Summer stretches from May to October with high temperatures, clear blue skies and gentle cooling breezes on the coast. In January and February the temperatures are lower.
Anafotida makes for a great base, with easy access to the highway for journeys to Larnaca, Limassol, Nicosia or Paphos. Alternatively travel the local roads to see other traditional Cypriot villages.
For the sports enthusiast there's plenty to do. For those who like fishing there's sea fishing out of Larnaca harbour or marina. For the scuba diver there's a diving site on the Zenobia, a sunken ro-ro ferry, just off Larnaca's Mackenzy beach. Or there are a number of very nice beaches for sunbathing or swimming. Mazotos beach is just 5km from the villa. For golfers there's an 18 hole course at Vikla, near Limassol or a brown course at Ayios Nicolas. For the skier you can ski on Mount Olympos, in the Troodos mountains, from Christmas to March. For the football enthusiast there are a number of football teams based in Larnaca, the season runs from August to March. There are many great walks from the villa as the roads are very quiet!

If youâ??re looking for something a little livelier than the immediate area then your options are Larnaca (25minutes away) and Limassol, Agia Napa, Protaras and Pernera are about a 45 minute drive along from the villa.
