About the home

The villa is close to a typical Cypriot village, so it's quiet and peaceful yet cultural. The Cyprus weather is wall-to-wall sunshine for the summer months and the private pool is an ideal place to spend the days relaxing. As an additional benefit there is a local restaurant - Cafe Aman - a mere 5 minutes walk away in the village square. The restaurant offers 'al fresco' dining, serving excellent traditional Cypriot food in a welcoming and warm environment. The portions are amazing - large and extremely flavoursome - and the hosts are friendly, chatty and speak English! I am so impressed by Cafe Aman that in each booking I include a free voucher for guests to use to gain a discount from a meal at Cafe Aman.

The nearest beach is just a short drive away with sunbeds, umbrellas and a kiosk for drinks and snacks plus a marina to add atmosphere! It is a 20 minute drive to Larnaca city centre, which has a wonderful beach-side bar scene with a strong family appeal late into the evening. There are lots of restaurants serving a traditional Cypriot menu as well as fresh sea food with views directly overlooking the water.


The south coast road gives amazing sea views and an hours drive to the west takes you to the Troodos mountain range that runs through the middle of Cyprus. The scenic driving routes pass through old Cypriot styled villages and a drive at sunset gives incredible views.

Cyprus is an area of high summer temperatures, often accompanied by a sea breeze, and light protective clothing is recommended together with plenty of sun protection cream. The villa is fully air conditioned but each room has a fly screen which allows the windows to be left open and a fresh flow of air into the villa day and night.

A welcome pack with additional details about the area and places to visit is in the villa. There are leaflets about various areas and attractions as well as maps of Cyprus to aid your exploration.

The island has thousands of years of history and there are plenty of fascinating ruins to visit, both locally and further afield. Kourion is an amazing and fascinating hill top Roman ruin site 45 - 60 minute drive away and close to a blue sandy beach with restaurants close by.


A small food hamper consisting of bread, milk, butter, tea, coffee and a selection of other basics foods will be in the villa awaiting your arrival.

The villa itself is light and airy with high ceilings and marble floors throughout. All decor and fittings are of the highest quality and brand new.
Great fully equipped kitchen with crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils plus a microwave and a toaster. An open plan living room, with flat screen TV and DVD player and a dining area that sits 6 comfortably. The three good size bedrooms, each with an en suite and extensive in-built wardrobe space, are also cool and welcoming. Each room has two hand towels and two bath towels supplied.
The master bedroom has a wide balcony overlooking the pool, with a separate table and chairs, providing views across the landscape.
The villa is fully air-conditioned and each room has a fly screen to the door or window to allow the windows to be left open allowing a flow of fresh air day and night.

Further details outdoors:
The private pool is the perfect size for an easy-going swim and cooling off from the hot sun.. There is a patio area outside with a table for six and two large sun loungers, relaxing chairs and two large umbrellas. Ideal for relaxing in the sunshine. There is a covered parking area for two cars, plus additional space in front of the villa.

The Larnaca region

Cyprus is an island situated in the east Mediterranean and has a wealth of history dating back millenium. It is an island of sunshine with a friendly and warm approach to visitors. Larnaca region has many beautiful beaches and is a convenient central base for exploring the island. The international airport is situated on the west side of the town providing hire care services and easy access to the region
The Finikoudes Promenade and Marina in central Larnaca abut onto the sea and offer a wide variety of cafe's, restaurants and opportunities to relax. The town itself is best explored on foot and has some interesting historic remains including a fort dating from 1625.

The stunning mountains of the Troodos Range are a short drive away and offer incomparable views and an escape from the heat of midday in summer. The area also offers the opportunity for skiing in winter and walking throughout Spring and Autumn.
Golf is currently available at a course at Vikla which is approximately 30 minutes drive away and horse riding is available at a variety of centres.

The Anafotida area

Anafotida is a small Cypriot village offering a mini-supermarket, restaurants, cafe's and four churches within walking distance of the villa. Cafe Aman in the village square offers traditional Cypriot food of great taste and immense portions for a very reasonable price - all cooked and served by the exceptional owners - Andreas and Stavroula. This cafe is so good that I include a free discount voucher in your booking that can be redeemed against a meal at the Cafe - Enjoy!

The nearby village of Anglisides is less than 5km (3 miles) away and offers a wider selection of shops including a supermarket, butcher, pharmacy, bars and restaurants.

Mazotos beach is only a short drive away and offers access to the sea -there is a new development with a beach and cafe by a new marina, together with sunbeds and umbrellas for hire at very good rates.

The village of Perivolia is situated slightly closer to Larnaca and offers a wider selection of shops, bars and restaurants while Kiti has a church dating from the 6th century and is very cool and relaxing inside with amazing ancient mosaics.

Larnaca is a 20 minute drive away and offers a selection of shops - including Marks and Spencer and Debenhams - banks, the marina and beach and the Finikoudes Promenade which is lined with cafe's and bars and a lively night life. There is something very special about sitting in a cafe or restaurant at night watching everyone enjoy themselves walking on the promenade - peace and tranquility

A little further east is Agia Napa which offers beaches and a Water Park whilst to the west Limassol offers a lovely beachfront and many historic attractions nearby. For those of you who enjoy Roman history, Kourion is an amazing hilltop site about 45 - 60 minutes drive west from the villa and there are many other ancient ruins to view. Chorokitio is only 15 minutes away and perched on the hillside next to the freeway - amazing to think people lived there 5,000 years ago!

The wonder of travelling by road in Cyprus is that there is the choice of speedy access between towns using the main A and B roads or the more leisurely, scenic option of the old roads.

There are so many lovely places to visit, wonderful restaurants to enjoy and such a variety of venues that you have to select those you have time for!

Larnaca Airport is very conveniently located only 20 minutes drive from the villa in Anafotia. Many airlines fly into Larnaca with Easyjet and Monarch offering very competetive prices. British Airways and Cyprus Airways may offer a larger selection of flights, more comfortable seats and prices do include baggage and pre-selected seats, but these flights are more expensive.
A car is advised as there are so many places to visit in the area and hire car companies such as Avis, Budget, Europcar and many others have offices at the airports. Directions are available for those who are driving from teh airport to the villa. Hire cars are available to book at the airport but in season it is advisable to pre-book.
However, it is also an option to take a taxi from the airport to the villa and there are local shops for food - not forgetting Cafe Aman for an evening meal and a bus service from the village into Larnaca everyday.

“Fabulous relaxing stay” We had a fabulous relaxing time in this lovely quiet villa on the edge of the pretty village. The location is peaceful, yet walking distance to all local amenities. The pool is perfect for escaping the heat of the sunshine, and sampling the simple but very tasty home cooked Greek food at the Cafe Aman after a days sightseeing or relaxing by the pool is a must! We had a car which meant we could easily explore the surrounding area, made even easier given that Cyrpus drives on the left too! The villa is also ideally placed for walking and cycling taking you through some beautiful countryside. This was my 5th time to Cyprus and we would definitely come back again.

“Space Space and more space” Spent two lovely weeks in Siyabona villa with my husband and teenage daughters. Unbelievably spacious with the added luxury of en suite bathrooms Especially for the girls. The supermarket, butchers, and a cafe within walking distance you don't need to go anywhere else. Anafotida itself is a small village but a short drive will take you to the motorway for Larnaca, Limassol and Nicosia. A car is recommended for sight seeing. Nearby villages to visit are Skarinou and Lefkara. The villa itself had everything you could ask for even a bar b q. The sun hits the villa all day but when too hot ,the pool is 2 feet away. Well kept and clean. Would come again
