Home description
This spacious mansion with six rooms on four floors is very well situated and close to traffic arteries. The house is tastefully decorated and fully furnished.
The house unites in a wonderful way the possibilities of a city and the cosiness of a town. For people who stay a little longer it is a great starting point to explore other places in Northern Holland.
The Vondelpark is around the corner. A 15 minute stroll though the park (5 min. by bike) will get you right in the Amsterdam city centre. The tram line stops right in front of the door, three stops away from the train station. Parking lots are often open in front of the house at half the rates of the city centre.

The Northern Holland / North Holland region
Northern Holland has always been one of the most important economical areas of the Netherlands, due to commerce, industry and fishing. This part of the country has learned to live with and profit from water. The province has water on three sides: North Sea to the west and the vast of IJsselmeer (Zuiderzee) to the east.
The flat land in between is divided by two major canals: one connects Zaandam to Den Helder in the north, and the other (North Sea Canal), gives Amsterdam's busy port access to the North Sea at IJmuiden. The Dutch have always been explores and you can still find part of the that character in the modern Dutch.
They speak so often english that many foreigner think english is the first language, but it's not. They are in general very open and even willing to adept other cultures. This makes up for an incredible rich cultural life in Holland.
Tourism is a major industry in North Holland, with Schiphol, the country's major airport as the gateway. The North Sea coast has a string of resorts and sea-front hotels among the dunes, while in the towns on the IJsselmeer such as Edam, and picturesque Volendam, you can still find villagers wearing traditional costume and the Dutch wooden clogs.
Northern Holland you can find beautiful beaches, historic towns and villages with sympathetic museums and classic windmilled landscapes and flower gardens. The whole province can be easily explored on day trips from Amsterdam.
