Home description

The houseboat is located right in the heart of the old city in a peaceful and safe residential area . However, Nieuwmarkt square with all its bars and restaurants and the red light district are only 2 minutes walking away.

All public transport like trams, busses, trains and metro aswell as 2 parking garages are in the immediate vicinity.
This apartment for 2 (or 3) contains a living-area (with built-in kitchen), a luxury bathroom, one bedroom with king-size bed, is fully equipped and centrally heated. There is a sundeck with hardwood bench facing south at your front door. You can hand feed the ducks, coots and swans from your window!

The Northern Holland / North Holland region

Amsterdam is the main town in the province of North Holland. It is surrounded by smaller picturezque historic towns like Durgerdam, Haarlem, Monnikendam, Edam and Volendam that are well worthy of a visit. This area of Holland is still considered to be archetypically Dutch whilst also being the economic heart of the country.

Amsterdam / Central Amsterdam area

Amsterdam as a city has much to offer. With its canals and historic mansions from the 17ht century it is a pleasure to walk around or take one of the many available boat tours through the city. There are many wonderful churches, squares and sidewalk cafes. Amsterdam also has more than 50 galleries as well as many renowned musea, such as the Van Gogh museum and the Rijks Museum. Great music, theatre and shopping aswell as a varied nightlife are also on offer. Many outdoor markets: flea markets, (organic) vegetable markets, fish markets etc. are spread through the city. In short this is one of the best cities in the world to spend your holiday. Of course it is also possible to rent a small boat or bicycle to help you get a feel of this wonderful historic town!

How to get there

The houseboat is in a unique location in the middle of the old city centre about 1/4 mile from Amsterdam Central Station.
Trains to Central Station leave from within Schiphol Airport.
You can also take a taxi from Schiphol airport for about 40 euro's

We prefer you not to smoke inside the houseboat. However, in summer when the windows can be opened we will not be too strict about this. Of course you can always smoke outside on the sundeck.

We require a 35% deposit to secure a reservation.
This can be paid on-line through "Paypal" or by bank transfer.
We will provide you with all the necessary information should you wish to make a reservation.
