LOCATION AND SURROUNDINGS

Zeeburg is located in the former Eastern Docklands area, the old port of Amsterdam where spices and tea were landed by ship. Most ships now have been converted into houseboats. In addition, the Eastern Docklands area known for its modern architecture. It is a quiet neighborhood, 10 minutes from the centre and 15 minutes from the Beach Blijburg at IJburg. In walking distance are supermarkets, a number of trendy design shops and various dining and entertainment possibilities: For example Jamie Oliver's restaurant Fifteen, restaurant Gare de l'est, beer tasting at brewery the IJ, jazz in the Bimhuis, live music at Café pakhuis Wilhelmina.

TIPS:

Paid parking in the area around the ship.

When you arrive by car we recommend you to park your car on P+R Zeeburg and continue to travel by tram. You will then be eligible for the much cheaper P+R rate.

Get the most out of your visit to Amsterdam and buy the 'I Amsterdam City Card'! This card is valid for 24, 48 or 72 hours and includes a detailed city map, unlimited use of the public transport system, free entrance to Amsterdam's best museums and attractions, plus great discounts (for example on bike rental) and free surprises.
