Northern Holland region

Haarlem is a peaceful town with a lot of green, historical houses, well known musea like the Frans Hals Museum and the Teylers museum. Haarlem is Amsterdam small without the tourists.

When you take the (for free to use) bikes it is very pleasent to drive around or to drive to the Kennemer dunes and the beach. At the great market (100m from the ship) you can visite the market twice a week.

Haarlem also got great shopping streets and a lot of cosy bars and restaurants.

Because there are a lot of things to do and see in Haarlem and Haarlem region, you can stay onboard the whole year around.

Beautifull places to visite are Alkmaar, de Zaansche Schans, Amsterdam, Volendam, Leiden, DenHaag and the beach of Bloemendaal, Zandvoort and Scheveningen.

In springtime in Haarlem you stay inbetween the flowerfeelds. You can take a bike to the keukenhof.

"A beautiful boat in beautiful location"

The boat has all you could possibly need for a very comfortable stay.Weather was very cold while we were there but the boat stayed warm and cosy (apart from the "upper" seating area which Ewald plans to do some work on but there's enough space downstairs for chilly evenings)
The setting is fantastic-quick walk to shops and restaurants yet quiet with beautiful views across the water
We used the park and ride to go to Amsterdam a few times (fast, efficient and cheap) but could easily have occupied ourselves in Haarlem for the whole 5 days.
The only slight down sides are the fact that the second bedroom is also the lower living area so only 2 people get total privacy, and there is a hob but no oven (plenty of great and reasonable places to eat out though)
Ewald is a lovely host-warm,friendly and helpful and his flexibility re arriving and departure times made a refreshing change over other properties we've rented.
We would definitely go back, both to Haarlem and Berezina
