Keepers Cottage – Sleeps 4
A lovely two bedroom cottage with wonderful original hand crafted beams and views overlooking the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.
Saturday Changeover. Keepers Cottage is a two bedroomed stone cottage set between 'The Nook' and 'the Granary Barn'. The working horses used to be fed and housed in this section of the stone range, which is now lovingly converted into two storey cottage.
When you enter Keepers Cottage, the snug is ahead of you, the wet room to your left and the kitchen / dining room to your right.
The kitchen and dining room is open plan, giving a spacious and relaxing area to talk, cook or just unwind over a glass of wine. There is also an additional sofa to relax in whilst reading the morning paper or waiting for dinner to be served!
The fully equipped kitchen has a LPG cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave oven. The window to the front overlooks the courtyard, with further views of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.
The separate snug is a favourite for those who wish to cuddle up or 'cwtch' as we say it here in Wales. A perfect little hideaway to unwind in, with the window overlooking the field to the rear.
Keepers Cottage has a flat screen LCD TV, with freeview channels, DVD player, DAB radio and free wifi access
The wet room, basin and toilet are downstairs.
Upstairs in the main bedroom, the beams have been beautifully preserved. The large wooden dowels and craftsmanship is on show. Despite the low beams, the bedroom has a kingsize bed with orthopaedic mattress, Egyptian cotton bed linen and cosy throws.
The twin bedroom has two adult single beds, with our quality Egyptian cotton bed linen. Again the handmade beams and dowels are on show taking you back to the bygone years.
Outside, a wooden table and chairs, with large parasol means you can enjoy the tranquillity of the area and listen to the birdsong at any time of the day.

"A perfect family holiday"
Stayed with partner, children (10 & 6) and dogs. A beautiful location within easy access of plenty of attractions (Tenby, Oakwood, Folly Farm, etc). The cottage was lovely and nothing was too much trouble for the owners. This is the second time we have stayed and we will definitely be back.

"Peace and quiet guaranteed"
We stayed at keepers cottage in early June our party consisted of myself, my wife, my mother who is in her eighties and our two year old border collie. The cottage is one of five barn conversions and has been beautifully done to a high standard. The cottages are located on a former farm in a vey quiet area near Amroth. Very beautiful area and very peaceful. The owners are a young family who are very friendly and helpful. There are also no shortage of places to walk the dog. Highly recommend it.

"A wonderful week in Wales!"
We stayed at Keeper's Cottage for a week, over New Year, with our two children & dog. The cottage was very clean and tidy and extremely well furnished. We were very impressed with the attention to detail both with the decoration and little touches such as; Christmas selection boxes on the children's beds, age appropriate toys in the room, chilled water and milk in the fridge and the amazing Christmas cake, Christmas pudding and mince pies placed on the table to greet us on our arrival.
The rooms were lovely and beds super comfy. Having the 'snug' room with extra TV was great with a teenager. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed – a real home from home. My young daughter was pleased there were egg cups for her fresh local 'dippy eggs' in the mornings.
Despite the windy and wet weather there was still so much to do and explore. The location is ideal being so close to the beach and with great woodland walks on the doorstep (the dog was exhausted every night!). We also visited nearby Amroth, Tenby and Saundersfoot.
The Diddly Shop, in the wood store, provided us with the loan of board games and DVDs for the evenings and an abundance of local information to plan our days out. There was also hot chocolate and treats on offer, which very much pleased my son!
I cannot express enough just how welcoming Abi and Lee were. They were also so helpful with local information and handy hints and tips to make our stay in the area as enjoyable as possible. Thank you so much for making our stay so wonderful. We will definitely be returning!
Thankyou so much for your review Sophia, it's wonderful receiving such lovely feedback and we are so glad that we were able to cater for all your needs. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay despite the 'wild weather'! We hope you will return again soon.

"Wonderful Christmas at Keepers Cottage"
We are a family of 4 inc 2 teenage boys and we stayed at Keepers Cottage for a weeks holiday at Christmas. We were delighted and surprised at the superb Christmas decorations , lovely real Xmas tree and scrummy mince pies, xmas pudding and truffles Abi and Lee had prepared for us.The cottage is ideal for a family with its 2 bedrooms with extremely comfortable beds and open plan liveing area were you can cook dine and watch a film, just so relaxing! We all loved the extra room known as the snug with its own comfy sofa and t.v. it gave us all some extra space essential with teenagers!! Outside Lee and Abi had decorated with pretty twinkling lights, so lovely and festive. The walks in the local area are interesting and varied. Behind the cottages are wonderful walks through a forest.A few mins away by car is Amroth a seaside village and it is here that the beautiful Pembrokeshire Coast Path starts. You can also have great fish and chips at the Pirate cafe in Amroth which are delicious!
We would love to stay at Keepers again and would have no hesitaition in reccommending it to anyone considering it for a really relaxing break..
Thank you so much for your lovely review of Keepers Cottage. It is great to hear you all had a wonderful time, especially over Christmas. It was lovely having you stay here and we hope to see you again soon.

"Stunning location, beautiful cottages, fantastic holiday"
My Wife, 2 year old daughter and I stayed in Keepers Cottage at Coastal Wood Holidays for a week. We had such a relaxing, peaceful holiday which was made so special by the extra effort that is put in by the delightful owners Abi and Lee. The cottage has been lovingly refurbished to a very high standard, giving them a modern look but in keeping with the cottage feel such as the exposed wooden beams. So much thought has gone into the cottage, and it has everything you can think of plus more! Lovely comfortable beds with Egyptian cotton bedding, homemade welsh cakes, waffles, milk, tea and coffee on arrival, toys and books for the children which were tailored to the age of our daughter, plus DVDs and board games for the adults. The location in stunning, so peaceful and secluded, yet still close to many of the local attractions. Tenby, Saundersfoot, Pendine and Amroth all have beautiful beaches, cafes, and shops and are within a few miles. Also Folly Farm and Blue Lagoon water park are great for the whole family and very close by. If you don't fancy venturing out for the day the woods around the cottages will keep you entertained for hours and there are walking trails which will keep you fit.
There is a little shop onsite which has many homemade treats, as well as award winning local produce all at very reasonable prices. There are also washing/drying facilities, DVDs, books and leaflets on local attractions in the 'Wood Store' room which is a great idea. Overall a fantastic holiday which we highly recommend
Thank you for your review of Keepers Cottage. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay here, and had a great time exploring all the surrounding area. 'Keepers' is great for young families especially with the extra snug room, so it is lovely to hear that it suited you and your family.
We hope to see you again.

"Beautiful and wonderful location, warm and friendly family run cottages"
We travelled as a family, 2 children aged 9 and 6. Such a pretty and beautiful location in Amroth.
The cottage we stayed in was exceptional. Every little thought catered for. On arrival we were greeted with freshly baked welsh cakes, toffee waffles. Excellent book with all details of where to go, what to to, what's on. Decor was lush and accessories were lovely and well thought out. Lots of storage for clothes etc. cosy blankets to snuggle up on the sofa.
Children loved their twin cosy room with beautiful crisp white bed linen throughout. We had the best nights sleep! Beds are so comfy, you won't want to get up! Kitchen had everything you could need. Jars of tea coffee and sugar. Milk in fridge in gorgeous coastal wood bottles. Microwave, random to include here but hairdryer in bedroom! toilertries in bathroom. Washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets also in cupboard. If you did need anything their wonderful shop inthe barn stocked welsh granola....must try! Drinks, jams, honey, deserts all available. Oh and a washing machine with powder at just a £1 donation for a wash! They really do cater for everything!
Books games and DVDs are available in the cottages and barn. we had 2 tvs in our cottage and also wi fi.
Abi and lee who run coastal woods are a warm and friendly family who are available to see if needed and obviously love what they do.
What to do and see....
Amroth beach great for pebble throwing, also sandy beach, evening walks and ice creams. 5 mins drive away. Really lovely beach.
Saundersfoot. Yummy restaurants, we went to the mermaid for seafood. Then walk along their super long and yet another pretty beach. Oh and hideaway coves.
Tenby south. Park in multi storey as so cheap! Walk down to beach which us family friendly with restaurant,ce creams. Lots of gorgeous shops, restaurants and cafes.
Pendine...loved this beach! Coves, caves and plenty of sand castle making!!
Folly farm...love love love this pace! So much to see and do! Indoor farm, zoo, old school fairground, indoor play area, big wheel, parks, sand pit..... We didn't manage to get around in one day. But we loved the penguins and giraffes, dodgers, ghost train, popcorn, motorised go carts nd fossil hunting. About 15 minute drive away.
So we did ll this in 3 days and so wished we stayed for a week. Will definatly be going back and would recommend to all ages!!!
Oh and ask about the walk through the woods to the stone circle...and take some sneakers for great trail runs or hiking boots for walking.
Thank you in and lee for the best I ever!
Thank you for your lovely review of 'Keepers'. We appreciate it does take time to leave reviews, so thank you. We are so pleased you had some wonderful days exploring our little corner of Wales. Your children were great fun, and I do not believe that they have never driven a Land Rover before, as they seemed like experts driving around the fields!
Have a great summer.

Thank you so much for your review. We are really pleased that you and your family had a lovely holiday with us. It was great to see your children running and playing in the fields, searching for the 'hobbit house' and bringing back driftwood.
