The villa is cleaned and maintained by the owners who will also be on hand to greet you on arrival and be available to provide information or assistance at any time during your holiday.
Casa Verano is located in a particularly quiet residential area of Las Tres Calas, only 5 minutes drive from the nearest Blue Flag Beach and approximately 4 km from L'Ametlla De Mar, one of the few remaining traditional Spanish fishing villages nestling in this unspoilt stretch of the Costa Daurada. For those in pursuit of excitement and adventure, the Universal Studios Port Aventura theme park is approximately 30 minutes away by train/car.
This well equipped and carefully maintained three-bedroom villa sleeps 6. It includes a fully fitted kitchen with all amenities including washing machine, microwave, fridge/freezer, oven and hob. Relax in the comfortably furnished spacious living area with satellite TV, VCR and DVD or unwind by the floodlit private swimming pool. Garden furniture and spacious Barbeque area provide for enjoyable 'al fresco' dining experiences.

The Costa Dorada/Tarragona region
To ensure that you get around and get the best out of your holiday, we recommend that you hire a car. However, the villa is within easy walking distance of a well stocked supermarket (open during summer season only), bakery, bars and restaurant; so if you simply want to chill out and enjoy the attractions of the villa and your own private pool, a taxi service is available for trips to L'Ametlla de Mar or local restaurants.
An excellent train service operates from L'Ametlla de Mar and services the Universal Studios adventure theme park at Port Aventura and Salou as well as connecting to the major Spanish train network. The Caribe Aqua Park in Salou provides superb entertainment for all ages. Come nightfall, Salou's bars, discos and nightclubs burst into life - most staying open at least into the early hours; many carrying on until breakfast!
Nearby Tarragona boasts an historic Roman amphitheatre among its many attractions and a visit to Reus, the city that witnessed the birth of Gaudi, the world famous architect, will reward you with the unique charm of a totally Mediterranean city.
Gaudi architecture has inspired many of the magnificent buildings that have made Barcelona one of the most impressive cities in the world. You can take a guided tour of the city from one of its many open-air buses that stop at all the attractions such as architecture by Gaudi or paintings from Picasso and many more. Do not forget the very famous `Las Ramblas´ heaving with street entertainers, bars, cafes and restaurants. A visit to Antoni Gaudi’s temple “La Sagrada Familia” is a unique experience, a continuing work of art. Barcelona is also home to the famous `Camp Nou´ football stadium including the trophy museum that houses the original European cup. Barcelona is also a shopper’s haven hosting some of the finest fashion outlets and boutiques in Europe. This is the one city you will never forget.
By far the most enjoyable way of travelling to Barcelona is to avail of the regular train services from L’Ametlla de Mar to Barcelona Sants.
There are two Golf courses within easy driving distance. For the more discerning golfer, the 18 hole Bonmont Course proves really popular, even for professionals. There is also par 3 pitch & put and, for those who just want to have some fun, crazy golf.
The villa is a 25 min drive from the magnificent River Ebro, renowned as one of the best fishing rivers in Europe. Cat fishing or Carping provides a fantastic day out whilst on holiday. Boat & rod hire and any further information on fishing on the River Ebro are also available.
The world-renowned Ebro Delta Nature Reserve (7,800 hectares) with its rich and varied flora and fauna including vast expanses of rice paddy and incredible beaches and sand dunes provides a unique attraction for all nature and wildlife enthusiasts. Of international ecological interest are the large colonies of migratory water and sea birds – between 50,000 and 100.000 depending on season. The Delta is regarded as one of the most interesting bird watching locations in the Western Mediterranean.
L'Ametlla de Mar / Tres Calas area
Here in L’Ametlla de Mar / Las Tres Calas you will discover a little bit of Spain as it used to be – sand, sea and sun without the throngs of tourists – an ideal location for a family holiday. If you are one who delights in enjoying your own space, then your own private villa with its own private pool is a wonderful way to relax and unwind.
One of the greatest attractions of Las Tres Calas has to be its secluded, uncrowded Mediterranean beaches after which it takes its name. Las Tres Calas translates as "The Three Coves"... they are truly beautiful and only a five minute drive from Casa Verano. Their fine golden sands and clean shallow waters continue to captivate holiday makers who visit year after year. One of these coves, Cala Jordi, has been awarded Blue Flag Beach status as have two other small, uncrowded beaches within 5 km of the villa.
Casa Verano is close to the beautiful and unspoilt fishing village of L'Ametlla De Mar. Here you will find real “Catalan” life in the heart of the narrow streets of a typical Catalan village. The village has lots of restaurants and bars, as well as supermarkets and wonderful small bakeries and, for its size, has a surprising array of quality shops and boutiques. In the exciting selection of restaurants you will find some of the finest Mediterranean cuisine and wines at wonderfully low prices. The spectacular sandy beaches are a delight to see and enjoy.

How to get there
Ryanair, one of the major low cost airlines, operates year round services to and from Reus International Airport, offering daily flights from Dublin, Glasgow/Prestwick, Liverpool, Luton and Stansted. Travel time by car from the airport to the villa is approximately 30 minutes. There are of course several other airlines that fly into Reus.
We recommend you hire a car as this will enable you to get the best out of your holiday. If you are travelling on from Reus Airport, it has been our experience that it is more reliable to select a car hire company based in the terminal building. The following car hire companies are located in the arrivals hall: Avis, Europcar, Hertz, Sol-Mar. We have found the most competitive prices with Sol-Mar PROVIDED you book on line: www.solmar.es However, we also suggest that you price around for yourself.
El Prat Barcelona Airport is served by a variety of low cost airlines, flying daily from Ireland and the UK, such as Aer Lingus, Easyjet, My Travel Lite, Thomson Fly etc. It is approximately 1.5 hours drive to Las Tres Calas from El Prat Airport. Easyjet operates flights to El Prat from London Luton, London Stansted, Gatwick, Bristol, Liverpool & Newcastle. Aer Lingus now flies from Belfast International and Dublin.
Girona Airport is a bit further away but is still only 2.5 hours drive. The airport is located right beside the Autopista AP7 and you stay on this route all the way to L’Ametlla de Mar.

A 20% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your booking. Full payment will be required 8 weeks prior to arrival. An additional £200 pounds damage deposit will be required on arrival. This will be returned within 7 days subject to satisfactory inspection of the villa.
June to August: Changeover Day - Saturday only. At all other times we will endeavour to accommodate your travel arrangements.
