Immaculate luxury modern villa decorated and furnished to a high standard throughout. The villa would suit two couples or a family with 1-2 children. It is situated at the secluded north-west end of Tres Calas (catalan for “three coves”) near the fishing village of L’Ametlla de Mar. Two good-sized bedrooms, both with very comfortable double beds, each comprising individually sprung single mattresses for a perfect night’s sleep.
A fully-equipped kitchen leading into a large lounge which has satellite TV with all the usual British TV and Radio Channels including Ch4 and Ch5. The villa keeps very cool throughout the summer and has central heating for the off-peak months.
Casa Leonore has an 8m pool, a stunning Pool House and wireless broadband internet access. If luxury is your priority, then this is the villa for you !
This villa is situated close to amenities and local beaches and is near to a small commercial centre which is within walking distance. The centre has 3 bars, a restaurant and a small supermarket. Numerous beaches are dotted along the coast, the nearest of which is 3km away. The villa is 5km from the unspoilt fishing village of L’Ametlla de Mar at the heart of the Costa Dorada. The olive groves and countryside beyond are a short walk away and the mountain views are stunning.
We include a welcome pack of groceries, including wine, with all bookings to ensure that your arrival is as pleasant as possible.

The Costa Dorada/Tarragona region
Barcelona is 1hr 30min by car on the motorway (AP7), or 2 hours by the comfortable local train which stops regularly in L’Ametlla de Mar (5kms away). Famous for its Gaudi architecture, Picasso museum, FC Barcelona stadium, and shopping (including Las Ramblas – the main shopping area leading to the harbour). It also hosts the F1 Grand Prix in May and the MotoGP in June. Six miles from the villa is Calafat Racing Circuit which hosts many motor cycle events, track days and saloon car testing sessions.
The Roman town of Tarragona is 40 minutes away with its impressive amphitheatre and multi-lingual miniature train tour, which the kids love.
The local train provides day-trips north to Port Aventura the Universal Studios theme park, Costa Caribe Water Park, Salou (Tarragona) and Barcelona. To the South, the train will take you to the historic town of Tortosa on the Ebro River, with its mountainous backdrop and historic castle on the hill where you can take tea or eat in the restaurant. Valencia is also a possible day-trip destination further South.
L'Ametlla de Mar / Tres Calas area
The beautiful fishing village of LÁmetlla de Mar is a 3 minute drive from the villa. The village has a wide range of Bars/restaurants and local and designer shops. There are several local festivals going on throughout the year sharing the local life with everyone.
There are several beaches spreading along the coast including Playa Cristal which is famous for its blue flag; some are long and sandy; others are secluded coves; one has a small port in it. St Jordi d’Alfama (one of the closest) is a wide cove with a fort, rockpools, fishing off the rocks and beautiful fish just a few feet from the shore in the cove. Swim/snorkel 10 feet into the water and you’re swimming with fish!
How to get there
Ryan Air, Thompson and First Choice have regular flights to Reus airport, a 40 min drive from the villa.
Easy Jet fly to Barcelona (1hr 30 minutes)
Car hire is recommended to make the most of your holiday - Reus airport is served by Avis, Hertz, Solmar and Europcar

Further details indoors: The villa was designed by its original Swiss owner who sold the house to us in 2006. The house is immaculate and is tastefully furnished and has kitchen equipment and crockery for every occasion. There is a separate laundry room at the rear of the garage.
Bathrooms and kitchen have granite worktops. Lights have dimmer switches to create the right mood. The dining room has 2 full length glass walls that are double-glazed, which can be shaded or slid right back in summer. Table seats 6 very comfortably.
Further details outdoors: The outdoor pool can be heated (please enquire). The poolhouse is a stunning feature which can be used for indoor dining or as a separate study/lounge. It has a sink with hot water, an outside toilet room, an outside shower room and a remote controlled sunshade that extends almost to the pool (4m). At night there are various coloured spotlights and other lights in the terrace, pool and garden areas to create the right atmosphere! The garden contains an olive tree, a low palm tree and a flowering cherry tree.
2 sunloungers; 8-sided outdoor table with parasol; outdoor seating for 10; various other garden furniture (benches, chairs, low tables).
There is a laundry at the back of the garage with a washing machine, ironing board, steam iron, drying rack and lots of storage space to keep the house clear of luggage etc. during your stay. There is also an unobtrusive rotary washing line away from the main garden.
Conditions
A deposit of 25% (payable in GBP) secures the villa with the balance payable 4 weeks in advance of your stay. For 2+ week stays, a mid-stay clean and linen-change can be arranged at an extra cost. The pool can be heated, also at an extra cost.
A refundable security deposit would be required on arrival of 250 euros and will be returned on checking of the villa.
