The property is composed of 3 units, each unit has: 2 bedrooms, a divan bed in the dining/living room, cooking corner, bathroom and covered outside place with table and chairs. It's also possible to rent the whole property (15 bed places + 4 divan bed places); in this case it is possible to eat all together in the spacious living room located in the largest unit , where the stone fireplace creates a delightful atmosphere and it's ideal for lovely and tasty dinner among friends. If you would like to eat all together outside then you can use the large covered terrace. In the garden, set in a panoramic position, is the swimming pool with roman stairs. For the lovers of nature, relax and quietness, walks are possible along country paths through the woods, but also for who loves excursions in gracious small towns reach of art and history, The farm is surely the place for a dream holiday. On request, also available cooking service for dinners made with local ingredients.

The Umbria region

In Umbria, a region that has gained a name for being the green heart of Italy, tourism is growing because of the unfamiliar harmony between nature, antiquities, historic centres (the landscape is dotted with many picturesque medieval villages) and culture. In the region immigrants from other countries of the European Union are also settling or buying second homes. The quiet of the countryside, good provisions and an inimitable cuisine are the great draw. Rents for houses are lower in comparison with Tuscany. Main cities to visit: Perugia, Orvieto, Spoleto, Assisi, Todi, Gubbio but there are also many charming little towns and villages.

From southern Umbria, in day trips, it also possible to visit Rome (we advice to go by train) and other charming little towns of northern Lazio (Tuscania, Tarquinia, Bagnaia, Civita di Bagnoreggio and the lakes of Bolsena, Bracciano and Vico) or southern Tuscany (Siena, Montepulciano, Cortona, ….). Many tourists visit Rome once or more times from here, by car or by train from the stations Narni or Orte.

Amelia area

Amelia is gorgeously sited on the rocks. The walls originate from the pre-Etruscan period (700 BC). It forms an ideal starting point for enjoying the peace of the surrounding hill and mountain landscape and on the other hand making at least 40 trips by car to sparkling towns like Todi, Orvieto, Narni, Spoleto, Viterbo (15 to 40 min.) or Perugia, Gubbio, Spello, Assisi, Tuscania and Tarquinia. In the more immediate surroundings there are numerous charming little villages - of medieval origin - which are increasingly being renovated for weekend and summer tourism. Al the shops you need are available in Amelia (5 Kms far away).

How to get there

To reach Umbria, if you don’t come with your own car, we advice to take a flight to Rome (airport Fiumicino/Leonardo da Vinci or Ciampino for low cost flight such as Ryanair, Easyjet, ….), Florence, Pisa or Perugia. On the airports you can rent a car (see www.Herzt.com, www.Avis.com if you want to book online)
