This is a luxury Scandinavian Style lodge within the Langdale Estate on the edge of Elterwater village in the Lake District.
The lodge is furnished to high specifications.
The accommodation is arranged on one floor. There are 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed and en-suite whirlpool bathroom and the second bedroom has twin beds. There is a separate toilet/shower room with attached sauna.The living area is open plan, with leather sofas and chairs, a 6-seater dining table, a TV and DVD player. The well-stocked kitchen area has a dishwasher, fridge/freezer, hob, full oven and microwave. There is a double pull-down bed in the living area.
The hallway contains a large drying cabinet, ideal for dealing with wet clothes and swimming kit. There lodge is positioned on the edge of the estate, looking out over woodland in the foreground and Silver Howe in the background. There are 2 car parking spaces provided outside the door of the lodge.
The rental starts at 4pm on Sunday October 27th 2013 and ends at 10am on Sunday 2nd November 2013. This is half-term week in October for most UK schools and is a popular time to visit the Lake District as the autumn colours are so beautiful.
The Langdale Estate itself is positioned in the Langdale valley between Elterwater and Chapel Stile, an excellent location for fell-walking and not far from Ambleside for a wide range of amenities. The estate includes 3 excellent restaurants, the popular Wainrwrights Inn and a leisure area including a spa with indoor swimming pool with separate toddler section, Jacuzzi and steam room and fitness suite, which are available for your use during your stay. Many other activities are organised by the Langdale Club for adults and children from museum visits to kayaking, for a separate fee payable on site.
Although the lodge doesn't have a washing machine, there are coin-operated-washing machines available at the club
Please note that the lodge is a timeshare property, which is why it is only available for the week 43 half-term week in October. We have owned this happily for many years but are not able to use it this year, which is why we are offering it for rent. As we have to pay the annual maintenance charge regardless of whether it is used or not, we have to have a strict cancellation policy on any rental to make sure we don't end up out of pocket. In addition to the rental price, you will have to settle up for your utility bills at the end of your stay. This usually costs us about £30 for the week in October.
