Permit parking available in central Ambleside (a real bonus in this location!). Enter into the open plan living area; cosy furnishings surround the gas fireplace and contemporary TV / audio system. The kitchen area is well-equipped, and open to the dining area with family-size dining table. Upstairs to the first floor double bedroom, scenic bay window and en-suite. Upstairs again to the twin bedroom, also en-suite and enjoying elevated views.


This attractive 2 bedroom holiday cottage in Ambleside provides a really convenient base from which to explore the village, Lake Windermere and also the wider Lake District. Ambleside is a vibrant Lakeland village on the northern shore of Lake Windermere.

As well as being close to ferry departures at Waterhead Pier - providing a scenic route to Bowness and Lakeside - the village has a wonderful atmosphere. Scattered with traditional Lakeland cottages and historic buildings such as the tiny 'Bridge House', Ambleside is also well served with sophisticated shops, acclaimed Lake District restaurants and cosy pubs. It's renowned as a gathering point for walkers too, with routes for all abilities beginning in and around the village. You'll find plenty of advice on Lake District walks in expert outdoor shops or at the tourist information centre.

Lake District attractions nearby include Rydal Mount & Gardens; a former family home of poet William Wordsworth. His Grasmere home, Dove Cottage, is also open to the public and is only a short drive away along the A591.

"Tidy, compact rental, central to Ambleside, helpful management.""
