Low White Stones is a luxury Grade II listed cottage apartment just 200 yards from the centre of Ambleside. Located on the ground floor and having under gone extensive redecoration and refurbishment the apartment now offers a couple a beautiful base from which to explore much of the southern Lakes. The lounge has everything you would expect from a typical Cumbrian property with an open fireplace, exposed beams and cosy seating. The owners have kindly provided a wide range of books and guides for guests as well as luxurious goose down duvets ensuring a good night's rest once you have finished exploring the fells. The property sits below High White Stones and so can be booked together to accommodate up to four guests.

The property has recently been completely redecorated and refurbished throughout. It is fully gas central heated and comprises: Lounge/Diner: Open plan area with superb open fireplace, LED colour TV, DVD, video, CD and radio and wide range of books, guides and maps. Kitchen: Fully fitted and equipped kitchen with gas hob, electric oven, fridge and microwave Utility room: Fully fitted with washer/dryer, freezer and plenty of space for storing outdoor gear. Bedroom: Charming bedroom with oak beam ceiling, king size bed, French style hand painted furniture, hairdryer and clock radio alarm Bathroom: Newly fitted en-suite bathroom has been totally redecorated with bath and shower over, hand basin, WC and heated towel rail.  

All gas, electric, bed linen and towels provided.

The Lake District National Park lies at the heart of Cumbria and contains well known and much loved holiday destinations such as Windermere, Bowness, Ambleside, Coniston and Grasmere, here there are lots of charming Lakeland villages to discover and visitor attractions for all the family. The northern and western lakes have miles of untouched natural rugged beauty and rural villages as well as being home to the historic northern lakes town of Keswick with its many shops, pubs and restaurants; providing a great holiday base. Other areas to discover include the Eden Valley, Cartmel peninsula, south east Cumbria and the Carlisle and Hadrian's Wall area; all equally beautiful and very handy for day trips into the lakes.

Ambleside

Ambleside is one of the most popular towns in the Lake District. At the foot of the Kirkstone Pass and the gateway to the Langdales it is surrounded by beautiful scenery and is the perfect location for any Lakeland holiday. The town has a number of shops, pubs and visitor attractions as well as easy access to Grasmere, Kendal and Windermere. There are countless walks that can be enjoyed from the town both easy and strenuous! Be sure to visit Stockghyll Force, a spectacular 70ft waterfall just a short walk from the town centre. For a more adventurous ramble you can trek to the summit of Jenkins Crag for fabulous views of Ambleside.
