The house is decorated in a contemporary style, with quality furniture and colour-co-ordinated soft furnishings. The sitting room has views to the village and the fells beyond and provides a calm, restful environment. It has central heating and a living flame gas fire in the fireplace to provide a cosy atmosphere in the winter months.

A flat screen television, DVD player and CD/cassette/radio are provided. The kitchen is fitted with Smeg appliances, and there is a full range of cookware, crockery and cutlery. There is a washing machine and tumble dryer on the lower ground floor and a large indoor drying area. Free WiFi is provided in the house.

The master bedroom, on the first floor, has beautiful views over Ambleside towards Loughrigg. It has a queen size bed, plenty of storage space and a TV. A bathroom with full-size bath and shower attachment is on the first floor. There is a double shower room with a power shower, WC and basin next to the main bathroom.

All bathrooms are tiled and have contemporary fittings. On the top floor there are two further bedrooms, a twin and a double. All the bedrooms, have co-ordinated bedroom furniture and plenty of storage space.

The garden is a particular highlight at High View. Professionally landscaped with a large terrace area and steel garden furniture, it provides a wonderful environment for alfresco dining with spectacular views to the surrounding fells. High View is located on a quiet private road and a 3 minute up-hill walk from the restaurants and shops. A parking space is provided outside the property and a gate in the garden gives access to a public footpath.

"Quiet and comfortable but a few provisos"

We are really enjoying our time here. The weather is perfect and Ambleside is a good centre for walking and exploring. The house is comfortable but is on 4 floors with steep stairs. Fine for us but ot… More

Thank you for your helpful comments about High View. I have arranged for an electrician to repair the top oven and ensure that all of the kitchen lights are working. Additionally, we will undertake a review of the kitchen equipment and replace any items that have gone missing. I am revising the website, so that it more accurately reflects the accessibility of the property

"House very good outside challenging"
