"Boltons Tarn is a home from home in a good location with lovely views"

Our second visit to Bolton's Tarn although we have stayed here on site many times in different cabins. The cabin has an enclosed and secure decking area, and it is well maintained and cleaned by the owners personally.
The location of the cabin is second to none with lovely views of the surrounding hills and Skelwith below. There are great walks to be had straight from the door and the local pub/hotel is only minutes away and also allows dogs.
The cabin is spacious and has everything you need for a self catering holiday.
If you like wildlife then Bolton's is ideal to watch the deer and the birds that visit to nest and feed. We have already booked for next year and looking forward to returning.

"Brilliant location for all ages and interests in the lakes"

Enjoyed a lovely week in Bolton Tarns with family. granddaughter aged 2 1/2 enjoyed easy walks from cabin, also enjoyed watching deer, squirrel and rabbits from balcony. The pool on site was an added bonus for us all to enjoy after our days out doing various activities. brilliant location for all ability of walker or shopper !! also excellent location for dog owners-we are already planning a return visit

We have stayed at Winfell Tarn twice now, last summer and Christmas, along with our energetic springer spaniel and we could not recommend the log cabin highly enough. Using the cabin as a base to do some walking it is an excellent base to come back to after being up in the hills.

It is amazingly cosy, all the essentials you could ask for and at a good price.

We will certainly be booking again.

"Excellent Accommodation/Location"

A great location approx a 1 mile outside of Ambleside. A very quiet location with numerous walks straight out from the property itself.

Both child (18 month) and pet friendly with all the facilities required for a week away.

Also met the owner whilst on site who was a very nice bloke who seams to take great pride in keeping accommodation to a excellent standard and also very quick to reply to any queries.

For nights in the owners have supplied entertainment in the form of board games, DVD's, books and a CD player.

I could not recommend this rental highly enough and we will definitely be returning in the future.

"Perfect Holiday Destination"

A beautiful holiday cabin in a perfect place surrounded by fantastic walks and stunning scenery.
Everything you want from a holiday cabin and so much you didn't know you wanted until you arrive at there.
Perfect if your on your own or with friends or family.
TV, DVD's books to let you know the best places to go, you're never stuck for something to do, even if it's sitting on the balcony taking in the views.
I hope to be back there soon.

"Best kept secret of the Lakes"

I am a bit reluctant to say how utterly enchanting Boltons Tarn log cabin is because I know it will mean we have to book earlier for our annual holiday each year! And we do intend to holiday at Boltons Tarn every year, we can't imagine anywhere better.
The location is amazing, you feel like you are tucked away in the woodland. It is quiet, private and yet a short drive into Ambleside.
The cabin itself is lovely, one of my children commented it was like a Sylvanian families house, so perfect for the location. Pets are allowed so we brought our jack russell who settled in very well. Despite pets being allowed it is very clean, well kept and fresh, so suitable for anyone with or without pets.
We were thrilled to spot the badger at night and enjoyed the birdlife during the day.
I really can't imagine anyone not falling in love with Boltons Tarn.

"Just Pure Amazing"

If there is any place you want to go and escape the world it's here! What a beautiful place the cabin was luxurious and had all the mod cons as if you were at home. Walk out the door and the views are just breath taking. A place of shear beauty.
