This stylish Victorian property, decorated to the highest standards, is on three levels and has been converted from the Hawkshead village Police Station and Court House - hence the name "The Judge's Lodging" and forms the central part of this impressive building. It offers superb quality accommodation with gas central heating ideal for all year round use.

This property is ideal for those seeking quality accommodation which is both convenient for the village whilst offering easy access to walks and cycles in Grizedale Forest and the surrounding fells.

The entrance hall leads to a large kitchen/diner. Cream units and terracotta walls add to the airy, spacious feel and the slate floor completes the effect perfectly. The country style kitchen is very well equipped with built in hob(gas) and oven, dishwasher, microwave, fridge and washing machine. There is a large pine table and chairs. A comfy seating area is also available. Adjacent is a useful downstairs utility space perfect for coats and boots. There is also a handy downstairs cloakroom with wc and basin.

On the first floor the living room is beautifully decorated; 2 large, comfy sofas, large flatscreen TV, (with Freeview) DVD, VHS and CD player . On this floor there is a pretty single bedroom and a bathroom with large shower, basin, wc and heated towel rail .

On the top floor is the stunning master bedroom - a spacious, vaulted room with exposed stone wall and beams it is very special with a definite wow factor ! This romantic room offers a king size bed and it's own ensuite with rolltop bath and basin and wc .

Dogs are welcome but must be kept on the ground floor and are not allowed in the lounge or bedrooms.
