The Cumbria/Lake District region
Located in the heart of the Lake District National Park with views of Esthwaite Water and the surrounding fells and valley. Views that extend as far as the Langdale Pikes and that give a real feel of the Lakeland landscape that surrounds the property.
The Ambleside / Hawkshead area
Located between the picturesque village of Hawkshead and Bowness on the ferry road (B5285) on the edge of the village of Near Sawrey, the hamlet made famous as the home of Beatrix Potter.
Hill Top, the Tower Bank Arms public house and other aspects of the village are featured in many of Beatrix Potters works. Indeed the house was leased for a year, in 1915, by Miss Potter for use by her mother.
For walkers there are many low level walks that lead to some of the less populated areas of the fells with most leading to the larger village of Hawkshead that boasts at least four good pubs that provide food.
Hawkshead is only a couple of miles away, one of the prettiest villages in the area steeped with country pubs and local shops. If searching for a cosy and romantic hideaway deep in Beatrix Potter's countryside, perfect for a relaxing holiday at any time of the year, then look no further as this little gem has it all.
