You literally can have it all here at Grandmont. Relax within a beautiful and tranquil setting or get active with the local sports and attractions.

Grandmont is a small Hamlet near Saint Sylvestre and located a short distance away from the medieval town of Ambazac. The town, frequently visited by le-tour-de-france has a population of just 5000. With plenty of bars and boutique shops, including three large supermarkets, it also boasts an excellent restaurant (des Vogages) serving a wide choice of menus If you enjoy a good fillet steak you won't be let down!

The warm aromas of freshly baked bread and fancy French cakes permeate the town of a morning from the its many small patisseries and bakeries. If that's not enough to tempt you then why not spend a few hours visiting the towns' charming 13th Century church where inside you'll find two of the regions' most beautiful and precious relics.

Closer to home, get a taste of history at one of Frances' most important medieval sites – the Abbey of Grandmont – visited by tourists worldwide.

Nearby there is a large lesuire centre, a swimming lake with pedalos and water sports, tennis and squash courts plus two riding schools. Just fifteen minutes drive away you'll find a-beach-in-reach with the ever-popular Lac Saint Pardoux which has heaps of activities on offer from zip-wiring through the trees, fishing, canoeing, swimming and more or pop to lac de Jonas which, most popular for dipping.

Razes is our next nearest town which also has several eateries.

Imagine Paris but without the crowds and you have Limoges, Spectacular buildings, great shopping. Limoges is also renowned for its great night life, Pavement cafes open til late and then are many bars, shows and restaurants. It also famously known for its arts and crafts and of course its famous porcelain factories. The railway station and its fountained gardens is a must see place. This stunningly beautiful region of still lakes, fast flowing streams, gentle rolling valleys, ravines and forested mountains has been one of the best kept secrets in France.
