The Canary Islands region

Tenerife, described as the Island of Eternal Spring, is the largest of the seven Canary Islands and covers an area of approx 791 square miles with varying contrast in landscape and scenery.

The whole Island is dominated by Mount Teide, the dormant volcano, which is the highest peak in Spanish territory, and rises to an altitude of over 12,000 feet above sea level. the name 'Teide' means 'White Mountain' in the ancient language of the Guanche Indians and during the Winter Months the peak is capped with snow.

Since the 1890's people have flocked to Tenerife, not just for the 'all year' climate or even that flights are around 4 hours from the United Kingdom, but simply because Tenerife has absolutely something for everyone!

Beaches of every description and many specialising in Water sports and International Surfing. Excursions, Hiking, Golfing, Abseiling, Cycling, Theme Parks and some truly spectacular scenery in the National Park.

No wonder people return to Tenerife every year for Relaxation and the Sun!

Amarilla Golf

La Quinta, in Amarilla Golf is part of a well-established residential community that overlooks the Golf Course and extends around the picturesque coastline. It is only a 15 minute drive from the airport yet enjoys a wonderful atmosphere of tranquillity and natural beauty. Many properties here are now being refurbished by loving Owners which makes this particular area much more desirable. There is a local Supermarket, Hairdressers, Car Rental Agency and several local bars and restaurants, all within walking distance.

Amarilla has its' own extensive 18 hole Championship Golf Course and is enjoyed by many. The San Miguel Marina attracts a flourishing Sailing Community with their stunning yachts and the new roadway systems, recently upgraded, have dramatically improved access to this region for locals and holiday makers alike and all enjoy the 'New Look' of this unique and lovely area.

The coastal walks are particularly picturesque. Follow the path to the San Miguel Marina and you will find an array of Traditional, Mediterranean and Oriental Restaurants, many of which have tables set facing toward the sea. Continue your walk along the coastal path to the Commercial Centre of 'San Blas' where you will find an array of shops, boutiques, bank, perfumery, Supermarket and several bars and restaurants with evening entertainment. Great Night Out! The Taxi Rank is also situated here.

"This lovely Villa is still a home!!!"

Ideal for a quite relaxing holiday with kids or even friends. The villa until recently had been the home to (UK) ex-pats so things have not been done on the cheap. It had everything we needed:- The kitchen was excellent, spotless as well and the spec of the appliances was good. They even had an electric hotplate that enabled us to cook outside when we couldn't be bothered to fire up the BBQ. The king size bed had an incredibly comfortable memory foam mattress, and there was more than enough wardrobe space. The en-suite had a glass brick walled walk in shower and twin basins which is always a bonus. The lounge had 2 comfy sofa's with views out over the golf course, all the main UK TV channels had great reception, obviously this is more important to some than others. The space outside again had everything we wanted. The 6 seat table was under a tiled canopy with ocean view with trees and plants providing intimacy. There were 4 sun-loungers with enough space round the pool to not be on top of each other. The icing on the cake was the heated pool (October-April) which made all the difference, the kids were in and out of the pool all day without the usual shivering. As a result of my kids having made a bit of noise playing in the pool I apologised to the neighbors (UK ex-pats) who very kindly said don't worry you are on holiday. The location is very quiet although there are quite a few bars and restaurants within walking distance. All in all a great place to have a holiday. We are booked again for August.,
