This is a property built on two floors with nobody above and nobody below, in a private complex situated in an outstanding location nestling on the coastline between two golf courses. Also, sitting by the lush green fairways of Amarilla Golf , the property enjoys stunning views over the 12th Green to the Marina and the Atlantic Ocean, which is just a few steps away. It is simply not possible to find better views anywhere else in Tenerife.
This Pebble Beach duplex apartment is in a safe area that apart from being a golfer's paradise also has local facilities that make it very suitable for families of all ages.
The apartment has a fitted kitchen equipped with all the appliances you would expect plus satellite TV etc.
Sleeping 2 people, it has a comfortable lounge, open kitchen with breakfast bar, plus a WC with wash basin on the ground floor. Patio doors in the lounge lead to a patio and small garden, beyond which there is just the golf course, marina and Ocean. Upstairs you will find the double bedroom, bathroom and washing machine plus tumble dryer. The sun terrace is accessed through the bedroom patio doors, with magnificent views that really cannot be beaten.
If you need internet connection, just login to hotspot Marina San Miguel, you can obtain access for about 18 Euros per week - paid by credit card. The best signal is on the first floor, especially on the terrace. Alternatively, most of the bars in Amarilla Golf have WiFi and there is no charge for this; they just expect you to buy a coffee or something when using the facility. It's a great excuse for having a drink instead of doing the washing up!
Alternatively, we have a little pen-drive device that you can simply plug into a USB port on your laptop and you will be able to have unlimited internet access in the apartment, round the pool, on a beach and virtually everywhere else in Tenerife, giving you complete flexibility. The cost for this go anywhere internet access is £25 per week to help towards our costs of contracting this from Telefonica.
There is a pleasant and quiet communal pool that is heated in winter and the apartment's private patio and terrace give plenty of opportunities for al fresco dining, using the barbeque provided and enjoying the sun.
By the swimming pool you will also find a water dispensing machine, so just take an empty 8 litre bottle and you can refill it with safe and tasty water for just 10 cents per litre.
The apartment is located in a tranquil, lager lout free area that is safe for children with the new Marina and seafront being just a few steps away. A trip to see the coastal underwater world can be taken on the Yellow Submarine that is moored in the Marina and that could be followed by a good meal and a glass of wine in one of the restaurants along the promenade that offer all types of cuisine, catering for the young as well as the not so young.
Dozens of shops, supermarkets, restaurants and bars are available locally within the golf course urbanisations, plus other facilities like Green Bowls, Tennis and Horse Riding are available for your enjoyment. Plus of course, with two golf courses on the doorstep, this is a golfer's paradise, but the rest of the family also have plenty to do to occupy their day.
All facilities imaginable are available in the nearby resort towns of Playa de las Americas and Los Cristianos, which are just a fifteen minute drive away and also accessible by the very reliable local bus service on Golf del Sur.
If you wish to see the island, but renting a car is not an option for you, just buy a BONO card for 12 Euros and travel with discount on the TITSA buses, which are surprisingly reliable and clean. For example, you will only pay 1.75 Euros to go to Los Cristianos.

The Canary Islands region
Considered a haven away from the cares of the western world, this sub-tropical island of perpetual sunshine forms the southernmost part of Europe making it one of the most perfect locations in the world, lying in the Atlantic Ocean on the same latitude as Bermuda and Florida.
In a survey by NASA, the US aeronautics and space agency, the climate in the Canary Islands and the south of Tenerife in particular is officially stated as being one of the best in the world.
There is no doubt that Tenerife's benevolent all year round climate, vast range of facilities and exhilarating atmosphere make it an extremely attractive destination for holidays.
While the beaches are packed with tourists defrosting, some head for the hills and enjoy the snow that sometimes falls on the summit of mount Teide, Spain's highest mountain; it is a beautiful winter wonderland, and such a contrast to basking on the beaches below! Winter in Tenerife is a fabulous time.
Tenerife maintains a relatively steady warm temperature throughout the year, and this is because it is a small island near the equator. The sea ensures that we don’t get too hot, whereas our location near the equator ensures we don’t get too cold either.
Although many destinations may claim to provide winter sun, or advertise that it is the ideal place to top up your summer tan, often the hype is misleading and nowhere else in Europe can compete with Tenerife for reliable all year round sunshine.
Lying immediately adjacent to Golf del Sur, Amarilla Golf is an area that is a perfect example of Tenerife’s re-branding into a luxury holiday destination. Set around an 18 hole golf course, the heart of the area is the Amarilla Golf and Country Club, whose facilities include a driving range, putting green, pro shop, equestrian centre and Club House with a tennis court, swimming pool, bar and restaurant.
There is also a new marina which has room for 325 berths for boats over 10 metres in length. The marina attracts sailing boats, providing a base for sailing holidays and is Tenerife’s largest yachting facility. A huge amount of money has been invested in infrastructural improvements in Amarilla Golf, making it one of the primary areas of Tenerife.
From the championship golf course, a player will enjoy the best possible views of the snowy peak of the majestic mount Teide, Spain’s highest mountain and needless to say, the Atlantic ocean provides a spectacular backdrop to the game. It is a golfers paradise to tread where some of the greats of golf have won and lost, and by the 5th hole the distinction between ocean and fairway becomes indistinct, as the player’s skills are tested with a drive over a particularly ambitious water feature… the Atlantic Ocean!
New roads linking to Golf del Sur have made the area much easier to access. From here, buses run directly to Playa De Las Americas, Los Cristianos, Los Abrigos and Santa Cruz. Amarilla Golf & Country Club is a short 10 minute drive to Reina Sofia International Airport and a similar length of time to Las Américas.

"lovely relaxing place to stay"

We regret that you experienced some noise from refurbishment work being carried out by the owners of another apartment nearby, which has resulted in you giving a 4 Star review instead of a 5 Star review. Our previous tenants have always commented on how peaceful and quite it is in our apartment, so your experience is a first. There is of course no new building work going on in the area and fortunately, the refurbishment of this one apartment was only a temporary phenomenon that we were unaware of at the time.

"location très calme et confortable"
Nous avons trouvé cet appartement très calme et nous n'avons pas été gênés par le bruit des avions, même si il n'est pas loin de l'aéroport. La location est très bien équipée, et tout était très propre quand nous sommes arrivés.
Il est très agréable de voir la mer depuis la fenêtre, et nous avons loué une voiture pour découvrir l'île.
Nous pouvons également vous recommander un restaurant de poissons appelé «Los Abrigos», situé dans ... Los Abrigos!
Et un grand merci à Bruce, qui a fait tout ce qu'il pouvait pour que notre séjour soit aussi agréable que possible, en dépit de nos horaires de vol très tardifs dans la nuit.

"A comfortable well equiped duplex apartment in a great location with fabulous views."
This accommodation enjoys what must be one of the best locations on Tenerife for anyone wishing to enjoy a relaxing Tenerife holiday without the traffic and bustle of near neighbours, Los Christianos and Playa de las Americas. The duplex apartment is equipped with everything you need for a comfortable holiday, the leather recliner chairs in the lounge are very comfortable and far above the standard normally experienced in holiday accommodation. However, the really outstanding feature of this accommodation is the location and the wonderful views across the golf course, the marina and the sea. It really is as shown in the photographs There are three nice communal swimming pools dotted around the Pebble Beach development available for guests but we kept with the nearest to the apartment which was about 200m away. At no time were there more than 4 or 5 people using the pool but this is the low season for Tenerife. The gardens and pools around the development are very well kept and a credit to the management company. To really appreciate all that this area has to offer and just make life easier, I would recommend hiring a car. The charming fishing village of Los Abrigos is a gem along this coast and only a few minutes away by car but is a long walk in the hot sun. Another unexpected gem is "Jungle Park" (a zoo) about 18km away. Zoos are not usually my thing, but the breath-taking falconry display alone is worth the trip and admission. Booking and communication with Bruce the owner, was very good at all times he couldn't be more helpful. I would certainly recommend this one to a friend.

I thank you for your review and I am pleased that you enjoyed your stay.
I am a little surprised that you felt our apartment was a little tired and in need of TLC, as we have only recently completely refurbished the bathroom to a very high standard, put new recliner armchairs in the lounge, which people say are very comfortable, plus we put in new beds, flat screen TV, DVD, microwave, washing machine and tumble dryer. We also bought new sun loungers, teak patio furniture and a barbeque. The outside of the building was recently repainted by the community of owners and they also put in a completely new and upgraded satellite TV system.
When we have a break in bookings we intend to upgrade the work surface and back tiles in the kitchen, but apart from that I do not think that there is much more that we can do.
I agree that this duplex apartment is not as new and luxuriously built as a couple of the other properties that we own, but its homely feeling and location for simply stunning views cannot be beaten, so it is actually one of my personal favourite apartments.
Having said all that, I thank you for your 4 Star rating, which I think is quite reasonable for this apartment and look forward to you staying with us again.

"Many views from the balcony"
My sister and I stayed at this lovely, homely and very easy duplex apartment to celebrate her 50 th birthday. The apartment was easy to find, pools varied but the Scorpio pool was where we spent most of the week enjoying the ease of the pool side cafe that sold everything you could want. Bars and restaurants were all within walking distance. Views from the upper balcony were amazing the 12 th hole of the golf club, Marina with fantastic boats of all shapes and sizes and of course the sea view that was wonderful.
The highlight of our week was a dull day that caused us to walk along the seafront to a small fishing village and as recommended by Bruce a jug or two of sangria and fish from the chiller. The apartment was well decorated, balcony areas great for breakfast in the morning sun and sunbathing until 4 pm. The leather armchairs were so comfortable and beds also very comfortable with cool cotton sheets. Bruce was very good at liaising with us and Laurence at Tenerife Property agents was also very helpful in organising our taxi back to the airport and would arrange sun lounger mats if required for by the pool. I look forward to returning again in the new year.

"Nice duplex, good area and secure apartment"
Nice duplex, photos are all accurate, and a very good area to stay in. Very secure apartment as well, with electronic roller blind shutters on both levels – this was the first time I've happily left cash etc in the apartment. Bruce was very helpful in responding quickly to repairs (personally) and upgrading the sun-lounger to what was possibly the most comfortable one in Tenerife! As indicated by others, there is Internet access through the nearby Marina San Miguel for only £18 for two weeks, and I found the signal easy to receive in most of the apartment. One thing I would recommend if you're arriving after dark is to take a small torch (or use the light from your mobile phone, as I did), because the keybox is inside the doorway in what can be a very dark spot if exterior lights are not switched on. Some additional internal upgrading is planned, so expect this place to become even more attractive!

Following your comments whilst you were here, we have replaced the settee with two new very comfortable recliner armchairs and we have replaced the beds with new ones that are also much more comfortable. "No hustle,no bustle comfortable and relaxing holiday home."
A very pleasant and comfortable little house with everything one needed to make it a home from home.
Views from the ground floor terrace or the balcony over the greens to the mariner and the atlantic beyond.
We took a trip on the local Titsa bus service around the island visiting Santa Cruz , Puerta de la Cruz and Los Gigantes for about 15 euros each and enjoyed our holiday without a car.
Good value places to eat within walking distance.
