The lagoon at the mouth of the Manzimtoti River is a haven for bird-watching and canoeing.
Miland Court is in a 1960's well maintained secure complex with lush gardens and barbeque facilities and within walking distance from Toti's main business area (5 minutes walk). Amanzimtoti is with its warm ocean and sunny weather the perfect holiday destination to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and a base from which to explore the KwaZulu Natal South Coast. The area is renowned for its sub-tropical forests, blue lagoons, golden beaches, rocky coves, whales, dolphins and golf courses. International scuba dives sites at Aliwal Shoal (Umkomaas) and Protea Banks (Shelley Beach) are within easy reach and for the golfer the South Coast is close to golfing paradise. There are nine spectacular 18-hole golf courses, including Selborne Golf Course and Durban Country Club. The area is also home to an array of outdoor activities including surfing, hiking, mountain biking, bird watching, horse riding and nature walks. Extreme Adventures at Oribi Gorge host abseiling and gorge swinging, or visit Croc World, Umgeni Bird Park, or just laze on the beach.

Two hours drive north of Durban are the exciting wildlife and safari destinations of KwaZulu Natal including Hluhluwe-iMfolozi and iSimangaliso Wetland Park (The Greater St Lucia Wetland Park).
