Villa | 3 bedrooms | sleeps 6
In the old days Amalfi was well-known for its hand-made paper: there were many mills doing this kind of work and Antico Mulino was one of these mills. Nearly all of the old mills have been converted into private homes, and Antico Mulino has been recently completely renovated and divided into two large, elegant apartments furnished with a large terrace divided in two so that both have their own private outside spaces.
The property lies right in the old town centre of Amalfi and its position allows you to live and experience this small town in all of its aspects.
Amalfi is a town rich in history, art and local customs and living in the old town centre is an experience that has nothing in common with a normal tourist day visit! Its history and of all its most interesting aspects and hidden corners can only be enjoyed living right in the heart of the old town, which is full of little alleyways, and small, hidden piazzas embellished by its little "salons" the bars, along with the beerhouses, the theatre and a large variety of restaurants, each one known for its particular specialities. All of this can pass unobserved, whereas it should be experienced, along with getting to know the locals.
The Antico Mulino apartments have been furnished with taste and are equipped with washing-machine and TV.
The beach is just 800 metres away, and is reached via a short walk through the centre of the town. A car is absolutely not necessary as Amalfi is well served by public transport. Ravello is 7 kms away and Positano 17 kms.
FIRST FLOOR with access to the terrace: Living-room/dining-room, kitchen, 1 bathroom with bathtub.
SECOND FLOOR: 3 double bedrooms, 1 bathroom with shower. Washing-machine, terrace.

The Campania region
History, culture, natural beauty, crystal waters, dazzling beaches...and food to die for. Italy really does have it all. From Venice's architectural jewels in the north to Puglia's sun soaked olive growths in the south, there's something for everyone in this country of infinite variety.
Whether you choose to spend your time exploring the Adriatic Coast, with its white sands and dramatic promontories, or the gentle rolling hills of Umbria, where almost every view is reminiscent of a Renaissance painting, your time in Italy will be time well spent.
And let's not forget the Italian Lakes, whose serene and ageless splendour has beguiled visitors for centuries. As has the island charm and Sicily and Sardinia, two very different yet equally enchanting holiday destinations. Last, but by no means least, is there any other city on the planet that can match Rome for its combination of ancient history and cosmopolitan style?
Prepare to relax in the most enchanting surrounds you have ever seen...
Declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO the Amalfi Coast is home to some of the best-loved and most beautiful coastal towns in the world, Positano and her less famous sister (and all the better for that!) Praiano and the ancient town of Amalfi, the town that gives the coast its name.
