Home description
Colli di Acquara, is a newly built house in the middle of quiet and unspoiled countryside, overlooking, from its terrace, the entire Bay of Naples and the islands of Capri and Ischia. Situated 2km from the village of S.Agata Sui Due Golfi, where shops of all descriptions, restaurants and bars can be found. From the property a network of old tracks lead through the local countryside to other characteristic hamlets such as Acquara, Pastena, and Priora. The owner of the house, a young English lady, together with her husband, can provide daily in season fruit and vegetables from their garden for your kitchen, and if required will also cook for you using local recipes. The property is in a quiet position but not isolated; reached by a rather narrow paved track unsuitable for very large cars or people carriers.

The Campania region
The Phlegrean Field, Capri, Ischia, Naples, the Sorrentine Peninsula, Pompeii, Procida, …. Are the pearls of “ Campania Felix ” or Happy Land by the Romans, a name that still stands true today. And thanks to those leading jewels of the Mediterranean that the Bay of Naples is so rich of natural and cultural attractions. Spectacular findings of classic antiques, scattered everywere in Pompeii, Cumae and Herculaneum, the enchanting landscape of Sorrento, the powerful and disquieting nature of Vesuvius, of the Solfatara, of the Averno and the thermal springs of Ischia, the hedonism and jet set life of Capri, the fascinating open air museum of Naples. You cannot be fouled to be impressed by this explosion of colours, sounds and flavours and by its lively, friendly and hospitable population.
Amalfi Coast / S.Agata Sui Due Golfi area
S.Agata Sui Due Golfi is a delightful little village in the hills above Sorrento. Its name says everything about the breathtaking views which it enjoys over both the Bays of Naples and Salerno. Apart from the main village centre, there are another seventeen villages which have developed from the ancient hamlets and are still linked by an intricate network of paths, mule tracks and lanes as well as by the main roads. In the village are shops of all types, bars, caffes, and restaurants such as " Don Alfonso" mentioned in the Michelin guide as one of the best in Southern Italy. To be visited in the village, the Church (XVI century) has a late Renaissance structure and is famous for its very precious altar, with fine and elaborate inlaid works of mother-of-pearl, lapis-lazuli, malachite and every type of precious marble. The Monastery of " Il Deserto" and its famous belvedere above the Gulfs of Naples and Salerno made this site one of the most celebrated in the Campania region. Not to be missed is a visit to the old fishing village of Nerano ( 7 km), that has become a pleasant beach resort, without spoiling the original atmosphere.
