Villa Mirabella is located in the midst of the town of Nocelle, 450 meters (1480 feet) above the sea level. Completely renovated in 2002, Villa Mirabella offers modern comforts and an authentic character.
Nocelle is a mountaintop paradise, a precious, pastoral village. In Nocelle there is a sense of being in the hands of the gods, looking down from their post on high, as all of their watery playground spreads far and wide below them. Breathtaking beauty stretches as far as the eye can see - from the Faraglioni of Capri to the edge of the shining sea and down to the picturesque beach village of Positano. Veritably unchanged for more than a hundred years, Nocelle has a peace that transcends time. Far removed from the Vespas and tour buses finds a silence that covers like a cozy blanket of tranquillity. Home still to the descendants of Nocelle’s founders, there maintains a flavor of the old ways. Grapevines wrap the mountainside, animals call from their barns.
This mountaintop paradise affords direct access to a world class hiking trail, the Sentiero Degli Dei (the path of the gods), which traverses eleven kilometers of awe-inspiring peaks reaching towards the heavens, while still being only a thirty minute ride down to Positano.

The Campania region
If you think you have no idea of where Campania is, think again. This fascinating land, rich in gulfs, islands and legendary places, is home to the charming landscapes of the Amalfi Coast, Sorrento, the Cilento National Park, Capri and Ischia.
The Campania region is situated in the South of Italy and bounded by the Tyrrhenian Sea (that’s the name of that stretch of Mediterranean). The region is divided into five provinces, whose capitals are Salerno, Caserta, Avellino, Benevento and Naples (Napoli). Naples is also the capital city of the region itself. With roughly 6 million of residents, half of which lives around the city of Naples, Campania has more people than Finland, packed in an area which is 200 times smaller.
If you are fond of archeology, architecture, or simply want to see history come back to life, Campania is a must. The archeological heritage is huge: the temples left by the Greeks in Paestum, the buried towns of Pompeii and Herculaneum, the remains of Velia, the masterpieces kept in the museums, the churches… and, of course!, the Royal Palace of Caserta, built to be the most sumptuous palace of Europe, with its 1200 rooms.
If the majesty you prefer is the majesty of nature, Campania will not disappoint you. The sandy beaches and the crystal-clear waters of the Cilento National Park, the amazing scenery of the Amalfi Coast, the islands of the Gulf of Naples are just a sampler of what lies ahead of you. From the underground depths of the caves of Pertosa to the heights of Mount Vesuvius, there is something for everyone. By the way, being Mount Vesuvius an active volcano, we respectfully suggest you visit sooner rather than later.
The Amalfi Coast / Nocelle area
Nocelle is a bonny, antique hamlet of Positano, rising at 400 mt above sea-level, where to enjoy a peaceful, resting stay far away from the urban chaos. A lovely 1700 steps flight, leads to Positano, reachable in a few minutes through outstanding panoramas that will leave you breathless!
Nocelle is definitely situated in a key strategic position that, specially in the past, allowed to dominate and monitor a very big coastal territory, avoiding piratical incursions.
For trekking lovers, Nocelle is indeed a little paradise, thanks to the dozens of excursions throughout Lattari Mountains that start from there. The most popular hiking trail is "Sentiero degli Dei" (Walk of the Gods), particularly interesting and scenic is in fact the part between Grotta Biscotto and Nocelle, that is one of the best ways to better view the entire Amalfi Coast.
The Path starts from Bomerano, hamlet of Agerola, and passing for Grotta del Biscotto (524 mt) and many other enlargements (used as repositories) you will go onward towards Colle della Serra (578 mt) where the Path bifurcates: from the left side it goes down to Praiano, from the right side straight towards Nocelle (420 mt).
The journey snakes itself into chalky stratifications, with breath-taking views.
