The Algarve / West Algarve region
Portimão is ideally situated for exploring the Algarve, a region truly unique in its diversity. The coast consists of sandy beaches, magnificent colored rock formations, caves and protected nature reserves like Ria Formosa, Ria de Alvor and Costa Vicentina Park where migrating birds make their stopover amidst an undisturbed environment of indigenous flora and fauna.
The southern coastal area, developed with tourism in mind, has a wide range of daytime activities and a vibrant nightlife to offer whereas the interior presents a more relaxed way to spend the day. The beautiful scenery and traditional villages in the Winterland should not be forgotten. Admire the local arts and crafts, try the homemade bread, smoked ham "presunto"and sausages "chorizo” accompanied by the special mountain firewater ”medronho”, distilled from arbutus berries.
Alvor / Chao das Donas area

How to get there
45 minutes drive from Faro airport, car - hire is recommended, but a local bus service is easily understood, or local taxis. (Most speak English). Transfers from the airport can be arranged.

Further details indoors: The apartment itself comfortable home from home having king-size with en-suite room , twin with shower room, both bedrooms having hair-dryers, fitted wardrobes, adjoining terraces overlooking the leisure area, large living area with 2 comfortable sofa beds, table & chairs seating 6, TV with English Channels, DVD, and CD stereo, plenty of children's entertainment, board games, Jenga, books, children's colouring/play table separate from dining table, buckets/spades and body surf boards, tennis racquets/balls all provided its fully air-conditioned which rotates to heat for the winter months, also has a ajoining terrace from bedrooms with patio furniture, for the late afternoon sun or enjoy alfresco dining.
Fully fitted kitchen with all essential utensils, crockery and cutlery, microwave, kettle, toaster, washing machine clothes airer, fridge/freezer.
Freezer boxes and drinks coolers, beach parasols, and windbreakers all provided for ease in your holiday.
Further details outdoors: Outdoor swimming pools, with children's swimming pool, indoor heated swimming pool, jacuzzi and changing areas/showers and toilets, sun umbrellas and sun beds (no charge) available around the pools, children's play area, tennis courts (balls and racquets provided), table tennis, table football, bistro selling all day snacks and drinks, evening meals are also available, ample car parking.

On any booking a non - refundable £50.00 deposit per person will be expected, final payment to be received 6 weeks prior to departure date (unless alternate arrangements have been made).
The final payment a £150.00 breakages deposit will be required of which will be refunded once apartment and pool passes have been checked by staff members.

The owner's weekend rates apply to: Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights
NB: Prices may be subject to change at the owner's discretion.
Change over days are flexible, pending availability.
Maid service is available pending duration of rental. Unfortunately we do not supply a travel cot, however the apartment has plenty of entertainment, inclusive of children's own table for colouring, all bed linen and bath/hand towels are provided, clients to provide their own beach towels.
Around the pool there are plenty of sun loungers/parasols. Access is by stairs only, therefore not suitable for wheelchairs.
£50.00 per person deposit non refundable, balance payable 6 weeks prior to departure. £150 security/breakages bond (refundable if all in order after departure with apartment & pool passes).
