All round sunshine. Excellent golf & beahes. Warm friendly people.
It takes under 10 minutes drive to reach Praia Do Vau, Atlantida and Alvor where there are beautiful sandy beaches, including delightful cove beach with secluded excellentfish restaurant.
There are many local courses including Penina championship course; Palamares; Salgados; Carvoeiro. It is only a 5 minute drive to Alto Golf 18-hole course/academy.
Alvor / Ma Partilha area
Alvor is a delightful fishing village with many modern amenities. You can buy fish, vegetables & salad fresh from market. The water park and wildlife centre are within driving distance and there are many coaches that run to these places. Alvor is 5 minutes drive away and has many banks, restaurants, shops.
Large supermarket 10 minutes drive in Portimao. Outlet complex inc. Nike, 30 minutes drive. Water parks within 30minutes.
How to get there
Direct flights to Faro from most UK & mainland Europe airports. E.g. from UK : easyjet, jet2, globespan, airtours, British Airways. Quick airport service on arrival is usual, then only 50minutes drive from Faro airport. Airport transfers can be arranged - typically 50Euros for whole minibus each way.
