Home description
Castelo Amarelo offers a real 'away from it all' homely feel. Located near the traditional village of Alvor and no more than 5 mins drive to the stunning beach it's perfectly placed for families, couple and golfers. It has a lovely peaceful location with breathtaking views of Monchique, yet only 15 mins walk from a fantastic choice of restaurants and bars in the centre of Alvor. It's our second home so we've gone to every effort to ensure it's as welcoming and enjoyable as it possibly could be.

The Algarve / West Algarve region

Alvor / Montes de Alvor area
Alvor is a traditional fishing village, which retains a wonderful ‘old age’ charm with narrow cobbled streets and white houses. The town itself has a surplus of restaurants, shops and bars. The main street leading to the harbour boasts numerous eateries offering some great portugese dishes and there are several lively bars open till late. For those looking for more late night entertainment then there’s always Praia Da Rocha, which is a 5 minute cab ride away. Some of the Algarve’s best kept secrets are nearby including historical towns such as Silves, Loule & the renowned Lagos. Portimao is also nearby and is great for traditional shopping. The beach at Alvor is one of the most magnificent on the Algarve boasting 5km stretches of golden sands. There are ample sunloungers and cafes dotted along the seafront and this beach has been awarded the ‘blue flag’ for cleanliness, safety and parking facilities. And if you want a bit more adrenaline there are waterparks a short car ride away.

How to get there
Making your way to Faro is easy. Most of the major airports fly directly including BMI baby, Easyjet, BA, Monarch, Tap and First Choice. We tend to recommend a car just because there is so much to see and do in the local area. We have several very competitive companies who would be able to help you. Our guests often use them as they are so reliable and good value for money.

Further details indoors: Every effort has been made to ensure our house is furnished to the best possible standard. All beds have goose-down toppers for additional holiday comfort! Utility area on the top floor complete with washing machine. Games room planned for June to include table tennis, bean bags, x-box and electronic darts. We also provide a variety of books, CD's & games for both adults and children. Child gates on stairwells have been fitted.

Conditions
25% non-refundable deposit required to secure booking. £150 breakages deposit cheque required with final balance, which is returned or destroyed one week after departure after final inspection has been done. Full payment and security deposit required 8 weeks before arrival, when directions and key information is supplied.
