This large newly refurbished modernised CERTIFIED T2 Apartment LICENCE NO. 9744/2010 is very well located and is ideal for family lets, is in excellent condition, with its many features, and is beautifully laid out with 4 balconies and services all on site. We are proud to have one of the nicest privately owned apartments in this lovely complex and we have had fantastic feedback from previous guests. We have provided everything in this extremely large 2 bedroom apartment to ensure that guests have a wonderful holiday providing all the comforts as you would expect a home away from home. We pay great attention to cleanliness and hygiene.
The apartment is a 8 min walk to the beautiful village of Alvor with its many restaurants, bars and shops. The beach is close by along with many Golf Clubs. This area is known for it excellent sea food restaurants which makes this fishing village famous. You can wander around the old cobbled stoned streets which still retains its old character, charm and friendly atmosphere.
Sleeping 6 comfortably, the apartment is fully air-conditioned throughout, has Sky TV, telephone and free Broadband internet access. No expense was spared when we were furnishing the apartment and it is presented to the highest standards with all the comforts of a home away from home provided. The apartment has two bedrooms, a double and a twin. The main bedroom has a queen size bed and you don't need to worry about sleepless nights with the exceptionally high quality mattress and pillows provided. There is a fully fitted kitchen with cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine. There is also a toaster, iron and ironing board and hairdryer.
In the living room there is a double sofa bed, sky satellite TV, DVD cinema system with LCD flat screen TV and CD player, with a selection of DVD's for your entertainment. There is a dining table which sits 6 persons. The apartment is fully equipped with air conditioning/central heating. On the main balcony there are dining facilities and a Sun Lounger that overlooks the gardens.
This complex has many facilities including : 24hr Reception, Restaurant/Snack Bar, Bar, TV Room, Supermarket, Tennis Courts, Supervised Swimming Pools, Children's Play Area and Private Security. It also has a Laundry Service, Bus to the beach, Excursions and Car Hire.
The Club Alvor Ferias complex has its own magnificent atmosphere created by very friendly staff and above all offers so much choice. The complex is divided in two and is connected by footbridge. Our property is ideally located on the second floor, in a nice quiet location of Club Alvor Ferias which is perfect for families and it overlooks a small garden with lovely palm trees and a sea view.

There is also internet access in the apartment, free to use for our clients. (Broadband) N.B. Please note that this is a NON - SMOKING apartment.

Around the swimming pools there are beautiful gardens, sun loungers and showers. There are also tennis courts on site. The Swimming Pools are supervised during High Season. July and August. The restaurant/snack bar is open daily from 8.00am until midnight. There is also a beer garden. During High Season there is also a bus service from the complex to the beach. The beach is also within walking distance from the apartment approx. 10/12 mins.
Further details
A 20% booking deposit is required and balance is payable 8 weeks in advance of your arrival. A refundable breakage deposit of E200 is also payable on arrival to be repaid within 2 weeks of departure.
Bed line changed once a week. Towels changed twice weekly.

The Algarve / West Algarve region


The Algarve enjoys a moderate climate all year round. The gentle sea breeze prevents the Algarve from suffering the humidity of Northern Europe in the summer months.
There is plenty to see. Just a 2 hour drive from Alvor takes you up to Lisbon the capital of Portugal and 2 hours in the other direction takes you over the boarder into southern spain.
Alvor is a classic old fishing village. Narrow cobbled streets lead down to the huge beautiful beach and harbour. The streets are a maze of shops, restaurants, cafes and bars. With very child friendly restaurants and bars that stay open late this resort has plenty for couples and families to enjoy.
Alvor beach caters for all watersports and has numerous beachside restaurants. There is a skydiving centre close by complete with cafe for watching.
The Alvor / Club Alvorferias area
Portimao is the closest main town and is filled with larger shops and restaurants. It is also known for its leather shops. Also close by is Praia de Rocha. There is a regular bus service to these towns running every 10 mins during the day and every 15/20 mins in the evening from Alvor village.
There is plenty for families to do close by. For example there is Zoo Marine, Slide and Splash as well as visiting the many beaches that are around the area. Down on the beautiful Harbour walk there are several boat trips available. eg. to see the dolphins, to the caves, fishing trips and around the coast to the village of Silves. These boats trips are available both during the day and in the evening from April until October. Also on the Harbour walk there are several beautiful cafe/bars with a full menu for snacks or for a more substantial meal with their comprehensive drinks / cocktails menu.
Portugals answer to Mizen Head is Cape St. Vincent which is approx. a 45min drive from Alvor. On the way why not visit the town of Lagos with its magnificent marina and lovely pier walk.
For the Golf Lover you are spoilt for choice. Within A 15/20min drive there are at least 7 courses for you to choose from. e.g. The Alto Golf( Just around the corner from the apartment), Penina Golf, Morgado, Palmares, Boavista and Pestana Pinta. Fly to Faro, 40 minutes away, or Lisbon, 2 hours by motorway.
Aer Lingus fly to Faro from Dublin and Cork and Ryan Air fly to Faro from Belfast ,Leeds and Bournemouth. British Airways fly to Faro from London Gatwick, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester, Newcastle upon Tyne, Aberdeen and Belfast.. Eastjet fly to Faro from Bristol, East Midlands, Glasgow, Liverpool, London Luton and Stanstead and Newcastle. Rates are very competitive especially when booked well in advance . (6 months or so) Flight time approx. 2hrs 30mins.
Hire a car or travel by Taxi to Alvor. Taxi service available if desired, contact owner for details. Try Budget Car Hire at airport. Advanced booking advised. Rates are reasonable.
It is not necessary to rent a car as everything is accessible by foot. If you wish to discover the surrounding area in more detail a car is advisable.

Considering how much time you spend in an apartment on a sun holiday the apartment was OK. It had all the basic amenities and the DVD player with flat screen TV and DVD collection was good to keep the early rising children entertained, but they don't have the main Sky channels as advertised. We had problems with the air con unit leaking in the main bedroom which took a few days to fix. The main fuse to the whole apartment blew several times, twice during the night when virtually nothing was swicthed on. There was a constant sewer smell from the toilet. Internet connection wasn't wi-fi and the router didn't work anyway even if we'd brought a laptop. The pool was disappointingly small and went from shallow to deep very quickly so not good for small children. Missing tiles around the pool area created trip hazards and it wasn't kept tidy with bins overflowing at the end of the day resulting in ice cream wrappers being blown in and around the pool. One upside was the apartments location which meant a 15 min stroll into the lovely town of Alvor with its many fabulous restaurants and bars. We were lucky in that we had friends staying at the beautiful Vila Marachique up the road and when we weren't at the beach we spent most of the time at their pool which is huge, safe and clean. Another word of warning - over 4 months since we got back and despite several emails and texts we still do not have our 200 euros deposit back. We left the apartment in as a good condition as we found it. I know of at least one other person who stayed there this year who also has not had their deposit back. |

My husband and I with our 1 year old daughter have just returned from a fantastic holiday in Alvor. We rented a privately owned apartment in Clube Alvorferias, no. 822. It was perfect! It is a 2 bedroomed, top floor apartment with everything a family could possibly need for an easy, no-stress holiday away. Firstly, we arrived to a "welcome pack" to help us settle into our holiday. The pack contained all essentials to start a holiday having just arrived from the airport - tea, coffee, sugar, milk, bread, cereal, etc..... It was kindly provided to us by the owners. We were able to sit down & get into holiday mood immediately without having to check out a shop first! It made for a great start to our time there, a very personable touch. The kitchen is fully equipped with all utilities & mod cons of the highest standard to cater for all purposes - exactly what you need with a young family. The open plan living area is very comfortable and impressively decorated to remind you of your holiday at every turn - a bright & open space with colourful furnishings & big, open windows that let in every ounce of light from the day. The t.v. even has Sky Digital which was a blessing for early mornings with a 1 year old! Both bedrooms have very comfortable beds & more than ample wardrobe space. There are 4 balcony's within the apartment, the main large balcony being a focal point from the time you enter the apartment. It makes for a great area to chill out & unwind when the hot day is done & children are gone to bed. Perfect for a glass of wine to reward the day! Another point to note, most importantly for us, the apartment was spotlessly clean. It is great peace of mind with a young child & not always something you can rely on. Here however we did! We did not have to worry from the minute we arrived about leaving our daughter play on the floor. It was very impressive. Apt 822 is on the quiter, better presented side of the complex. With it's own pool area we were able to enjoy easy access without any fuss or hassle. It even has it's own baby pool which was ideal for us. The town of Alvor itself is only approx. 5 min walk from the apartment. It is an easy walk to the small town which offers everything you might want - small quiet cafes, lovely wine bars, pubs, restaurants, harbour walks & of course the beach! With easy access to a stretch of beach so beautiful, it is definitely a location we will return to. |

When you arrive, your apartment is clean with fresh towels and bed linen. While you are there you will have a change of towels and a mini clean mid-week. If you are staying for two weeks a repeat full clean and mini clean will take place. Full maid service.
N.B. Off season rentals from November to the end of March are including services. e.g. Maid service, starter pack Electicty, water charges and meet and greet service. Please contact owner for further details. Off season rental prices are for long term lets. eg. 1,2,3,4 & 5 months rental periods only. Short term 1 & 2 week rental rates price on application, long term off season rental prices do not apply. For further details again contact owner.
Cancellation Policy: Through your arrival date we will refund 50% of your deposited funds unless we can rent out the apartment for approximately the same time period. If we can rent the apartment for roughly the equivalent dates, we will refund all but 200 Euro.
Refundable Security/Damage Deposit; A refundable/security deposit of E200 is required. This will be returned to you within two weeks of your departure subject to a full and thorough report from our property manager. We will make every effort to be timely and prompt. If damages occure during your stay and it is NOT REPORTED to either the property manager or the owners the full security deposit will be witheld.
Arrival and Departure Times: Check-in time is after 4pm and check out time is 10am to allow for cleaning.
