The gardens and the pool really are first class. The two apartments we offer look towards the pool in a elevated position. The complex is completely private and access is denied except to owners or owners rental guests.
Vila Marachque has a reception and a small bar/restaurant. It is about 20 minutes walk to the old town but by local taxi or car it is about 4 minutes.
The fixtures and fittings in both apartments are excellent as you can see from the list here. If you are looking for a first class apartment in really outstanding surroundings then this is for you.
The Algarve / West Algarve region
Alvor is about 70 km from Faro airport but now served by a good motorway for most of the journey. From Alvor interesting places to visit include Lagos and the very busy town of Albufeira.
Alvor / Marachique area
Alvor is a popular and very pretty cobbled old town. It is not huge but has a good amount of interesting shops bars and restaurants. The fishing harbour promenade make a lovely walk and the beaches are clean and safe. Golf is available nearby plus some excellent walks alone the inland river and estuary near Alvor.
How to get there
Many low cost and charter airlines fly to Faro inluding EasyJet, Jet2, Monarch, Thomsonfly, Excel and JMC. From Faro airport we can arrange transfers if you wish or you can get a local taxi or hire a car.

Further details indoors: This really is "home from home" and nearly every possible appliance is included. The rooms are large and airy and the fixtures and fittings are first class. The balconies are large and both have great views over the lawns towards the lido style walk in pool.
Further details outdoors: Parking is available it the rear of each apartment block and access is though a secure lobby. Lifts and stairsare avauilable to the one bedroom apartment and the two bedroom is on a elevated ground floor position.
Vila Marachque is totally secure and without keys you could not obtain access.
The gardens are beautiful and in one corner includes a childs area and pool. The walk in pool has a central bar area to wade or swim out to !!!!

Guestbook
We stayed in September 08. Firtsly the complex is a little way from the Alvor old town and shops so a car would be handy although not compulsary. The accommodation was SUPERB. We rented the two bedroom apartment and it is clear that it was privately owned. It had everything !! and not only everything it was in superb condition as well. The view from the large balcony over the lovely gardens and the hugh pool was really enjoyable. The complex is gated and totally secure and I could have stayed all summer.
We had previously had package holidays but until now we have never found anything as impressive as this. I would totally recommend this and I hope we can return in 2009.
