ALL ENQUIRIES WELCOME for this lovely detached villa!! Located in a peacefuly urbanization, just a few minutes drive from the famous Praia da Rocha beach, on the outskirts of Alvor town often referred to as one of the Algarve's best kept secrets. Quiet and peaceful, yet only 10-20 minutes from the larger resorts such as Portimao and further west to Lagos. The villa has easy access to all amenities, including the local markets for bargain hunting, and many excellent restaurants for eating out.
The villa benefits from its own private pool, with a shallow end perfect for the children.
Outside there is plenty of relaxing sun loungers, coffee tables, bar stools and a shaded terrace with large table and chairs to enable you to dine al fresco. With two double bedrooms and one twin bedroom, the villa is ideal for families or indeed for couples enjoying the total exclusivity.

There is plenty in the surrounding area to see and do during your stay combined with water & fun parks for the whole family.

The Algarve / West Algarve region

Traditionally an important trading and fishing port, Portimão has now become one of the Algarve’s most popular holiday destinations and a modern city offering fabulous beaches, proximity to the natural beauty of the Alvor estuary and plenty of animation.

The attraction of the area lies in the amazing diversity of its countryside and beaches. Holidaymakers in search of sun and sea will have the choice of longer beaches, such as the much-loved Praia da Rocha, or any one of the smaller, more sheltered ones like Prainha, lying westwards of the city. Many of Portimão’s beaches are framed by the characteristic golden cliffs of the area and feature the stunning rock outcrops that are the delight of scuba divers and snorkellers. Praia do Alvor, the westernmost beach in the Portimão area, is entirely different. Gone are the cliffs and rocks and, in their place, lie the glistening white dunes of the sand barrier that separates the ocean from the lagoons and marshlands of the Alvor estuary.

The protected area around the estuary is a beautiful place to visit. Its marshlands and canals are graced with numerous species of migrating birds and offer a sense of tranquillity that is far removed from the animation of the coastal resorts.

Portimão is a bustling seaside city in which there is plenty to see and do. Beach-lovers will be close to the beautiful Praia da Rocha, where they will find a host of amenities, including water sports rentals, bars, cafés, restaurants and shops. For those wishing to see the sights, the riverfront area is particularly pleasant for a saunter along the promenade to gaze at the passing fishing boats or to stop and sample the favourite local snack (the region’s unique sardines on homemade bread) in one of the city’s celebrated fish restaurants. The area is particularly lively in August when the crowds gather to celebrate the popular Sardine Festival. Boats providing scenic trips up the Arade river also depart from here, giving visitors the chance to admire the changing landscape further inland.

Portimão’s lively nightlife is a far cry from the peace and quiet of the fishing village of old. The marina is the epitome of modern Portimão and has become a favourite summer venue, offering a wide choice of bars, restaurants and nightclubs in very select surroundings. Praia da Rocha is the liveliest area for evening entertainment, its many bars and nightclubs providing all-night partying and its casino drawing many visitors from afar. In the summer, when many of the clubs host world-class DJs, Praia da Rocha becomes one of the most exclusive nightlife spots in the Algarve.

slightly further west ...Lagos is a lively & busy town in the height of the season - offering a maze of winding cobbled streets full of pavement restaurants, local cafés, bars, antique and art shops, and what must be one of the world's best stocked fish markets. It is also rich in culture and history, and is widely regarded as the most charming town of the Algarve. Lagos has an excellent nightlife centred around the old town, but merely wandering through the maze of winding streets soaking up the atmosphere is entertainment enough. Jazz and Blues lovers of live music must not miss an evening out at the famouse Stevie Ray's club.

Their are a string of small beaches on the western side of Lagos including the picturesque Praia D´Ana and Porto de Mós appeal to those who prefer smaller more intimate coves, although some can only be reached by boat or by the famous cliff walk which is only recommended for the sure-footed. A short boat trip from Lagos takes you round the rock formations and grottoes of Ponta da Piedade, between Luz and Lagos.

Boat (day) trips to Sagres give you the possibility of seeing the beautiful coast line to Sagres. These trips start from the both Portimao and lagos Marina,s Why not take a trip out from the marina and Dolphin watch on one of the two large high speed Ribs boats; a fantastic experience.

“BEAUTIFUL VILLA, FANTASTIC STAY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!” We had the most relaxing holiday ever in this beautiful villa. It's in a very peaceful location, a five minute drive from Portimao. Easy to get to all the well known resorts and fabulous beaches, although with the pool, you may not want to leave the comfort of the villa too often. The villa is huge, big spacious rooms, extremely well equipped with gorgeous views and lovely balconies. There are three bedrooms (two on ground floor, master bedroom upstairs), all with gorgeous ensuites. There's also downstairs loo. Everything was spotless. The pool is large and fabulous, we spent most of our holiday in it! The weather was really hot when we were there, between 30 and 35 degrees. It does get windy in the afternoons but we welcomed the breeze. The barbecue was great and there's a great bar too. We ate all our meals outside next to the pool, under the shade. There's a large garden too. It is managed by the wonderful Fiona, who thoughtfully left nibbles and wine on our arrival, and answered any queries we had very promptly. She also has some great tips for recommended restaurants. The owners left maps and guides for use by guests which was a nice touch. The WIFI was a huge bonus too. Would definitely recommend this villa for a family holiday. We loved having the peace and tranquility with the option to dip into a busy town or resort if we wished. Will definitely visit again.
