Nearly sunny all year round except for some showers in the winter but only if you had bad luck. This town is know for there famous beach and fishing where all restaurants always have fresh fish and alot of places for great steaks also. Basically this town is just to relaxe and have a good time.

How to get there
Fly to faro. Loads of choice of low cost airlines, main airlines, as well as charters. Flights from almost all UK airports. Alvor is an easy 45-50 minute drive from the airport. Low cost car hire available.There is an excellent bus service connecting Oasis Parque with Portimao, Praia do Rocha and Praia do Vau. Taxis can also be hired. Car Hire available through www.holidayautos.com Transfers : http://www.low-cost-transfer.com There are always local taxis available - but be wary as they may try to overcharge tourists.

There is a rental fee for squash. Beach is a 20 minute walk, good for exercise and to cut some weight off from the wonderful food you eat at your stay in Alvor. Centre of Alvor close to a 10 minute walk
