Our Royal Marina apartment is a fantastic holiday setting throughout the year. The apartment is newly built and newly furnished; located on a 5* resort. Ideally located for all nearby attractions with three beaches, shops markets and the brand new marina all a short walk away.

The property is ideal for any type of holiday: either spend time relaxing in the resort, on the beach or enjoy all the nearby culture and historical sites nearby!

There is a welcome pack on hand for when you first arrive which gives you details about the apartment and the surrounding area.
The swimming pool is available from May until the end of September; however, all three beaches are within easy walking distance.
The gardens and on-site facilities are shared between residents and there are English speaking staff available on site through the year.

* Lost safe deposit keys carries a charge of £100 due to the safe having to be replaced.
* Lost apartment keys carries a charge of £40.00 due to locks having to be replaced.

The Aegean Coast region

The Aegean Coast possesses some of the most spectacular and significant of Turkey's archaeological sites with a rich cultural legacy from early Greek, Roman and Ottoman civilisations That’s why people regard Turkey as the largest open air museum in the world. The ancient cities of Ephesus and Troy are permeated with the past, where amphitheatres, chariot-rutted streets and columns reek of historical importance. It was here that St Paul laid the foundations for the beginnings of Christianity, and where the face of legendary beauty, Helen of Troy, 'launched a thousand ships'.

Besides historical attractions, the Aegean is known for its magnificent coastal scenery and long stretches of sandy beaches, where pine trees and olive groves clad the hills surrounding. Inland, the calcium-rich mineral springs that surge over the edge of a mountain plateau at Pamukkale form Turkey's leading mineral spa and is one of the most celebrated natural attractions in the area. The Aegean coast is famed for its rich natural produce and every month a new fruit and vegetable is in season on our visit there have been kiwi and strawberries and in an d around the region you will see swarms of olive groves.
The Aegean coast posses everything you could want in a holiday from history and culture to sun and relaxation. Once you begin speaking to the people you will find them extremely hospitable to the extent that many restaurants will happily pick you up and drop you off after a meal.

The climate fluctuates throughout the year although rarely very cold; in the summer temperatures can be as 30c check our website for a month by month breakdown.

The Altinkum / Didim area

Altinkum is set on a fantastic geographical part of the world bafa lake. It is 200 km south from the Turkey's third largest city, Izmir; 73 km from Kusadasi and 110 km from Bodrum.

Altinkum translated means "Golden Sand" and relates to the superb beaches. The beaches slope gently and are safe for families with children, they are just as appealing to those just wanting to unwind, take it easy and work on their tans. The beach wraps round the picturesque Altinkum Bay forming two beaches one at either end of the town.

Marina
The marina will also include a shopping centre, supermarkets, yacht equipment shops, a fitness centre and sports facilities, banks, a petrol station, restaurants and a cultural centre. As part of the development a ferryboat management facility will be established to provide for cruises to the Greek Islands of Kalimnos, Kos and Leros

Markets
If you want brand name clothes at a 1/4 UK prices (or less), this is the place. All stall holders will accept English stirling, Euro's or Turkish Lira. Don't accept the first price, haggle - they expect it. The stall holders are friendly and not too pushy.The market is a great experience often not so busy in the afternoon.

Beaches
Altinkum Main Beach
Altinkum has three beaches and very ideal for kids, families, adults and for non swimmers as the waters are very and very clean. There are plenty of water activities that everyone can enjoy on the beach and most of them is water sports, you can hire a pedalos, sea biycle, banana boat rides and ring rides. You can always watch daily lazy boat trip tours from every beach and sea the clear waters. This days you will be able to spot many other big cruise ships, boats from Altinkum Beaches. However this will be very usuall soon when Didim Marina finish. You can always do diving, fishing, sailing in Altinkum Didim beach and hire a boat from harbour.Local restaurants, cafes, bars is very close to beach so you can always grap cold drinks while you are on the beach, also you will see a lot of youngester sell fresh corns, cokes, ice cream along with water melon, fruits. Some restaurants, cafes, bars, has a service to the beach with cold drinks.

Altinkum Second Beach
Altinkum second beach is located at left side of the main beach and also knows as Tuntas Beach, where you will find small cafes, restaurants along with bars. Second beach has some water sports, bana boat with speed rings and jet skis. The sunniest months are July, August, September, with average of twelve hours of sunshine and tempatures in the low is 30C. Avoid from sun and drink plenty water.. Altinkum third beach

“Fantastic apartment, much recommended.” Me and my partner stayed in this apartment in July 2012 for the second time. We both thoroughly enjoyed ourselfs and were very much surprised by how well equipped the apartment was. The appartment was better than we could have imagined and everything we needed was already in the appartment! We will defiantly be staying in this appartment again as the appartment and owner were fantastic! Many thanks

“Fantastic holiday! Great apartment.” We stayed at the Royal Marina apartments in September 2011 and had a really great time. We got off to a bad start though before even leaving the uk with our holidays4U flight going bust but apart from that we had no other problems. The owner of the apartment was really helpful and moved our dates to accommodate our new flights without any problems at all and was always available if we had any questions about our stay. We arrived at the Royal Marina complex at night and had no trouble getting to or finding our apartment as there was a helpful 24 hour reception to take us to our room and help with our luggage. Once in the apartment we were delighted, it was very clean and modern with everything we needed, a well equipped apartment. The rooms were a good size with a double bedroom with A/C and plenty of storage space, a shower room and a kitchen diner/living area leading onto the huge balcony which also had great views of altinkum.Once we finished reading through the welcome pack left for us we went out to explore. The complex its self is very well maintained and kept clean and tidy, all the hallways, footpaths and pool area were cleaned every day. The location was ideal for us with everything really close but far enough away from the busy main strip and dolphin square, apart from Adils cafe which is right outside the complex, the owners are really welcoming and friendly and the food is very nice and well priced, there is a supermarket just around the corner which was really handy. The beach, Dolphin square and all the bars and restaurants are just a 5/10 minute stroll depending on which route you take, or you can catch a dolmus bus at the end of the street which will take you straight into town. The main strip and dolphin square are packed with shops, bars and restaurants which are open late so there is plenty to do. All in all we had a really great stay at this apartment and a fantastic holiday and would definitely recommend it. A big thank you to the owner for letting us stay in his lovely apartment and we will definitely be returning next year. Paul & Vicki.
