It also has a shared pool and is an EASY 2 MINUTE WALK to the beautfiul main sandy beach. Shopping amenities can be found at the Didim Shopping Centre no less than 100 metres from the complex as is the popular Dolphin Square.

The whole property is protected by comprehensive mosquito nets.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a huge fridge freezer, stove and microwave and all kitchen utensils. The dining room has two lovely sofa beds which open out to sleep one person per bed. The property also has a lift which can transport you up and down the 3 storey block.

The exterior balconies offer plenty of room and the roof terrace has ample dining space for 8 people.
Its location is central so that it is a short walk from all local amenities with an excellent mini supermarket nearby.

A non-refundable deposit of 25% will be required to hold the booking and the balance payable 6 weeks prior to departure or immediately if the booking is made within 6 weeks of the departure date.
A refundable security deposit of £100 is required to cover for any breakages and damages and will be refunded within 14 days of return of the apartment keys and provided our agent has checked the apartment and it has been cleaned, there have been no breakages and found everything to be in order.

The Aegean Coast region
Altinkum offers wide stretches of golden sands with the clear blue waters of the southern Aegean making it ideal for families. Life in Altinkum revolves around its 3 beaches with over 1km of sand and if you look far enough you can find some more secluded areas to sunbathe.
Average temparatures in May and October are 26C.
You can also take wonderful boat trips round the coast to some truly great beaches and try snorkeling or scuba diving to see some of the many brightly coloured fish or take a boat trip to Bodrum to visit the Bodrum castle or sample the great delights of turkish shopping. The Aegean area is also famous for one of the seven wonders of the world, the temple of Artemision and the ancient city of Ephesus which are definitely worth a visit at only just over 1hour away from Altinkum.
The Altinkum area
The area has much to offer with water sports on each of the 3 beaches and a new water park opened in 2005 and it will soon boast a new 18 hole golf course. The area is full of history with the temple of Apollo only a 10 minute bus ride from Altinkum. Each Saturday the old town (Didim) has a bustling local market selling everything from food to 'genuine imitation' goods after which you can try some of the more authentic local cuisine. By night Altinkum can be as lively or as quiet as you want with many lovely restaurants offering a great choice of cheap but good quality turkish and international cuisine. After your food if you fancy sitting on the beach as the sea laps onto your feet, having a quiet drink in one of Altinkum's many bars or heading to one of its lively clubs then the choice is yours.

The transfer to Altinkum takes approximately 1 hr 15 mins from Bodrum and 1 hr 45 mins from Izmir. We can pass on your flight details to our agent in Altinkum who can arrange the transfer at a cost from Bodrum airport of £120 for 3 people or £140 for 4 or more people and £160 for all transfers from Izmir airport. This is paid direct to the agent upon arrival.

Unfortunately when we arrived at the apartment the lifts were broken but the driver who had met us at the airport insisted on carrying all 4 suitcases up to the top floor, a very helpful guy! We had a brilliant time in Altinkum, the apartment is just as it is described, it is really spacious and very clean. It is literally 2 minutes walk to the beach and the bustling area of bars and restaurants. We did not use the apartment for cooking as we had already decided to eat out and indeed we found several different places to eat for a reasonable price, we particiculaly liked Sahils bar in Dolphin Square and indeed the bar just beneath the apartment called Mercury, the staff in both places are very friendly and can't do enough for you. We would recommend going on one of the boat trips we went with one that was arranged through Sahils and it was a great day out £10 with lunch, drinks you had to pay for separately. We had a fantastic time in Altinkum. The apartment was great and the roof terrace really made it for us. We spent so much time out on the roof terrace, every breakfast and in the evenings playing cards etc. We loved the location. So close to everything, supermarket, beach, restaurants etc. We found everyone to be extremely friendly. The transfer was fantastic and we would always do that again. The man who took us to the airport even bought us each a bottle of water - he was so thoughtful and kind! Although you can get a cheaper coach transfer, the hassle involved in finding the right coach, dropping everyone else off at their hotel/apartment after a night flight doesn't bear thinking about!! (having talked to others who did that!!). The noise level in the apartment was fine, no problems at all. The children loved the Jacuzzi bath! Your communication was excellent all the way through. Thanks for being so patient with all our enquiries. We were a little nervous having never booked a holiday like this before, but you helped make it a very positive experience.
