The Aegean Coast region
Great weather - winter time about 15 degrees and in summer 35 degrees. Nice breeze on the beach.
Estate where villa is,is about 15 years old and well established and maintained. 24 Hour Security too.
Very historical area, apollo temple in didim (the main town) and lots of other Greek and Turkish monuments. Tours available - boat trips too.
Across from apollo temple there is a wonderful fish restaurant - remember to check it out!
And also the Istanbul Restaurant in Altinkum is well worth a visit too. Central heating has been added to the villa this winter for added comfrort and to take the chill out of the nights!
Altinkum / Didim area
There is a local shop on t he estate during the holiday season - april to october.
Dolmus bus runs every 10/15 minutes from the entrance of the estate. Coastal walk also into Altinkum.
There are other shops, hotel and restaurant 1km across the road from the estate.
Altinkum town is 3kilometers from the Villa.
Altinkum is a holiday resort that caters for all ages. It has a bustling night life for those who want it. Nice bars, caters for kids with aqua parks and sandy safe beaches. Boat trips, Banana Boat thingys too.
Food is wonderful - wide variety but still cater for those who like their sunday roast!
There is a very relaxed athmosphere in the area. We love it there and go over as much as possible. I am sure you will want to return again and again.
There is a great Saturday market every week, great value but remember to Barter - its part of the fun!
How to get there
Fly to either Izmir or Bodrum. Bodrum is the closest airport about 1hour 15 minutes away. Transfers to Altinkum cost about £30 p.p., I can give you details of who I use for the transfer. Flythomascook is the company I use to book our flights - easy site to use.
