Lynton Villa is a luxurious, well-appointed villa with its own swimming pool and terrace. Laid out over three floors, it is perfect for groups or busy families. Lynton Villa is just a stone's throw from the road down to Didim's much-acclaimed new yacht marina, and there is easy access down to the seafront, 3rd beach approx 1km away and the resort centre about 2km - approximately a 20 minute walk or a few minutes by car.
Lynton Villa has been furnished with both adults and children in mind and is even equipped with child safety door gate and plenty of toys and games to keep younger children entertained - if the swimming pool and nearby beach aren't already enough to keep them happy!

Lynton Villa is fully air-conditioned, including each bedroom and the lounge. It is well equipped with high quality furnishings and household wares. There is a door safety gate if needed for small children (available when requested) and all the bedrooms are sizeable and equipped with wardrobes and dressers for storing your clothes and other luggage.

Lynton Villa is well-equipped for sun worshippers, with plenty of patio furniture and sun loungers. The swimming pool is exclusive to the property and is maintained daily when in use. The pool will normally be operational from the beginning of May to the end of September. The property is surrounded by a wall to ensure your privacy and safety, and access is through a lockable private gate. There are attractive olive trees on the land nearby, and there is a nearby smallholding which adds to the cultural nature of the locality.
Lynton Villa is in an upmarket neighbourhood given over to luxury villas and there is a corner shop a few minutes' walk away that stocks essential supplies. The road to the new Didim Yacht Marina is also within 2 minutes' walk, and this and nearby Ege (Aegean) Road both lead down to the seafront and the beach.
Please note - at the time of writing, the area is still being developed, which includes some of the access roads to this property. Renters with young children or restricted mobility are recommended to hire a car for the duration of their stay.

* A returnable deposit of £150 is taken to book your stay, in addition to the cost of the rental. This will be returned within 1 week of the end of your stay once the property and its contents have been checked. A full inventory list is provided.
* You should be ready to vacate the property no later than 12:00 midday on the date of your departure. We must be notified 24 hours in advance of a departure before the agreed date and no refund is given.
* There is a small additional surcharge for out-of-hours arrivals and departures. Check in and checkout times are between 10am-6pm Monday-Saturday.
* Minimum booking period 3 days.

WEATHER
The Aegean Region is known for its balmy climate. Guaranteed sun and "beach weather" for at least 6 months of the year, temperatures climb from 25c in May up to 40c and sometimes more in July and August. The air is dry and clean, making the heat manageable and positively beneficial for many - especially people with breathing and joint disorders.
HISTORY
Trying to summarise the history of the area is a difficult job - written records of civilisations, heroes, kings and saints go back thousands of years, testified to by the large numbers of ancient temples and towns that can be found all over the region.
SURROUNDINGS
The landscape is also remarkable - the original meandering river, the River Meander, has slowly silted up over thousands of years, leaving the mountains to the north and west surrounded by huge flat plains that are home to many different types of wildlife and several national parks. The area is famous for its beaches and many have been awarded "Blue Flags" - the internationally recognised clean beaches award.
LOCAL FACILITIES
Altinkum resort is home to several five-star hotels, all with luxurious facilities that are open to the public. A giant yacht marina has just been opened close to one of Altinkum's main beaches and golf is available at local courses. Hydrofoils run two times a week from Altinkum Harbour to the Greek island of Kos, allowing you to build a day out in Greece into your holiday plans. A ferry also runs from Altinkum to Bodrum throughout the summer months.
LOCAL ACTIVITIES
The main resort of Altinkum is very well equipped for holidaymakers, with a wealth of activities and sights to see during your stay. Children will love the kilometres of sandy beach and clean, shallow turquoise sea, Didim Aqua Park and the hosts of family cafes with free computer games for kids and special children's menus. The young and young at heart will love the beach clubs - jetties with sun beds, beanbags, table service and funky music - water sports, and all the bars and discos along the beachfront. Culture fans will love visiting the local villages and markets and seeing traditional foods and crafts being prepared and sold, and the astonishing selection of ancient monuments, temples and cities within a 2 hour radius (the nearest is actually inside the resort).

GENERAL LOCATION
Located in Didim, an up-and-coming part of the famous seaside resort of Altinkum on the Turkish Aegean Coast. Flights from the UK run throughout the year to Bodrum and Izmir Airports. Bodrum Airport is 1 hour away by road and Izmir Airport is 1 hour and 45 minutes. The nearest customs office is at Altinkum and there is a ferry service running between Altinkum and Kos throughout the summer. Ferries also operate into Izmir port from Brindisi in Italy, which is a popular option for people travelling to Turkey through Europe by car. It is also possible to enter Turkey via the Greek and Bulgarian borders north of Istanbul, close to Edirne.
VISAS
Tourists must obtain a visa on arrival in Turkey and there is a charge of £10 per UK passport for a 90-day multiple entry tourist visa, which will be issued to you before passport control at your point of entry. Other nationalities can check with their local consulate for prices and regulations.
