About the home

A first class complex with 3 good sized bedrooms furnished to a high standard, sleeps up to 6 comfortably. The master bedroom has a large en-suite bathroom with corner shower, 2 single bedrooms with bathroom comprising walk in shower, basin/wc. 3 large patios opening from kitchen/lounge and bedrooms, all rooms have air-conditioning and mosquito nets on all doors/ windows. Patio furniture, sun-beds and sun parasol. Satellite TV for English/ foreign channels and a selection of DVDs.

We have a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom penthouse in the same block if you have friends/family wishing to holiday with you that sleeps up to 4 comfortably, it has a large roof terrace, patios from both bedrooms and overlooks the pool area, (see photos.) Dates booked;- 27/28/05/11, 13/06/11 - 20/06/11. 23/06/11 - 30/06/11. 8/08/11 - 22/08/11. 25/08/11 - 13/10/11.

The apartment is situated over 2 floors. The ground floor has the master bedroom with a double bed, bedside cabinets, wardrobe and dressing table with mirror, a large en-suite comprising toilet, basin and corner shower, opens onto its own balcony with a table and chairs. The second bedroom has 2 single beds, bedside cabinets, double wardrobe with balcony. The third bedroom has 2 single beds, bedside cabinets, wardrobe and dressing table and balcony. The second bathroom comprises a toilet, basin and walk-in shower.

The large and spacious open plan living and dining area is upstairs, with large sofa and armchair, satellite TV and DVD player with a selection of DVDs. The kitchen area has a table and 4 dining room chairs and is fully equipped with ample cutlery, crockery and glassware and water dispenser offering chilled water. This room opens out onto the large and private sun terrace where the sun shines all day!

There are 2 travel cots, a full size english travel cot and a smaller turkish one which are available free of charge. We supply beach and pool towels. A basic food pack is available if required at an extra cost.

The main pool has a safe children's pool (that is in the shade part of the afternoon.) There are sunbeds with a poolside bar selling chilled drink, ice-creams and hot snacks, open seasonal.

Rental rates include electricity, gas, water. The apartments will be cleaned prior to your holiday, please clean
before departure.

In respect of other non-smoking guests and safety please smoke outside on the patios.

All guests must have travel insurance. The owners accept no responsibility for any personal accident/injury
and loss or damage to personal property during your stay. No responsibility can be accepted for failure of electric, water, strikes or extreme weather conditions.

Conditions

Due to airlines flying on different days, changeover days are flexible. A non-refundable deposit of 100 pounds at time of booking and 75 pound refundable deposit with balance to cover any breakages/damages, loss of keys refunded on your return when the apartments have been checked by the management company. Full balance 8 weeks prior to holiday, by bank transfer or cheque.

Prices subject to change at the owners discretion.

Stunning local scenery

The Aegean Coast region

Altinkum meaning "Golden Beach," one of the best sandy beaches on the Aegean coast, with clear turquoise waters and safe swimming for children. There are three beaches that all have fine golden sand, offering sunbeds and beach umbrellas for a small charge. Daily average summer temperatures 35 - 40 degrees C.

*Bafa Lake, boat trip and National Park.*
Visit Endymion Temple, Temple of Athena Byzantine Castle. Fresh fish for lunch caught from the lake followed by a boat trip on the lake visiting an island to observe the wildlife and a refreshing swim.

*The Temple of Apollo.*
Has been well excavated and partly restored with many well preserved columns after 2,000 years. 10 minutes away.

*Pamukkale.*
Also known as Cotton Castle, with white cliff faces dotted with calcium pools cascading down the mountain side. It was renowned in the ancient world as being a curing centre for skin ailments. You can bathe in Cleopatra's Pool described as relaxing in warmed champagne! Its one of the outstanding wonders of the world.

*Ephesus.*
Spectacular ruins are 90km away, the largest and most famous ancient classical site in Turkey, one of the 7 Wonders of the World.

*Bodrum.*
This ancient city lies on the site of the ancient city of Halicarnassus. King John's knights built the tomb of King Mausolus. Rising in terraces above the bay, with its old walls, are whitewashed houses nestling among gardens and vineyards a beautiful place to explore and have lunch along the harbour. From Bodrum you can catch the ferry and visit the Greek Islands from May onwards.

*Adaland Water Park.*
For thrill seekers is near Kusadasi about an hours drive, a fun day out. This is the biggest water park in Turkey.
It has a large wave pool, dolphin park and sea park, with a wide range of activities.

The Altinkum / Didim area

Altinkum is an exciting and vibrant resort offering something to suit everyone. It is a friendly resort with over 50 bars, 10 discos and 60 restaurants, where you can eat well and cheaply. Restaurants and bars offer a free pick-up/return if you eat/drink there. Local bars and restaurants are within walking distance and can deliver to the apartments if required.

Dolmus buses cost 1.75 YTL and can take you to the beaches, marina and shops.

Didim is the local old town with traditional and new shops where you can enjoy a drink and traditional inexpensive Turkish food. Its an ideal base to explore this beautiful historic area which is steeped in ancient culture. There is a Saturday market where you can purchase 'look alike' clothing and handbags, fresh produce and house-hold goods, Turkish Lira, £ sterling and Euros are accepted at some stores.

Fresh fish, fruit and vegetables can be bought daily in the undercover market. Every Wednesday theres a market where the locals bring their fresh fruit and vegetables, strawberries and cherries 3 YTL kilo.

Within minutes of the apartments theres a bakery selling fresh bread and pastries from 75 Kuros. Bim supermarket also within minutes and Migros 10 minutes. Local bars and restaurants are within walking distance and offer take-away menus, if you'd like to enjoy a relaxing evening on the large patios.

HSBC, cash withdrawal machines and local banks nearby.

The new 'Didim' Marina has recently been constructed and has capacity for 555 yachts in water and 300 in dry dock.

Soke Market on Wednesdays where the locals sell their goods from produce to livestock and carpets.

Visit the Greek Islands by ferry from the new marina.

The Temple of Apollo is 2km away by dolmus.

Aqua waterpark, a must for all ages. Try the Kamikaze, the twister or the Free Fall. Theres multislides, wave pools or relax in the jacuzzi pool. A great day out for the whole family, a short dolmus ride away.

4 x 4 Jeep Safari takes you through the Didim countryside visiting places of interest.

Cruise the clear turquoise waters and hidden bays on a traditional Gulet boat.

Scuba diving Altinkum is one of the best places to dive next to the Red Sea.

Bird watching in nearby National Park

Turkish baths, a must, be rubbed, scrubbed and massaged, offer a collection and return service.

“Lovely 2 bedroom Apt!” Loved this Apt it was like home from home everything you could possibly want was at this Apt. Wasn't keen on the complex only because i have never stayed on a complex before it just wasn't for me. The owner Kathy is a very nice & helpful person.

“Great Holiday” The apartment is situated in a nice area within walking distance of 2 supermarkets and local shops. We ate in the local restaurants, that offer good value for money and took us back to the apartment.... more

“excellent” very nice appartment, in a well secure complex, very well equiped. easy walking distance to local shops & only a 5 minute Dolmas ride into Altinkum. I would highly recomend this for families & also couples, nothing to much trouble for the staff on the complxe who greet you with such a freindly manner. the pool was kept in excellent condition & Kathy the ownner is very nice & helpfull, nothing is too much trouble. we enjoyed this place so much we will booking for next year. FANTASTIC !

Reluctant to tell anyone how much we enjoyed staying at Ekiz, we want to keep this a well
kept secret we absolutely loved the apartment. Its away from the bustle of Altinkum, in a pleasant area of Didim, next to the best bakery & fantastic restaurant. Buses 5 minutes away. The apartment is huge, the best kept secret is the massive balcony with sunshine early morning to late evening. The pools never busy, a diamond of a resort. Wish we had bought this apartment ourselves. WE WILL BE BACK. Mr & Mrs S Jones, Isle of Man.

Thank you so much for the use of your 2 bedroom penthouse. It was lovely, well appointed with everything we possibly needed to make our stay really comfortable. We loved the balance of sun and shade on the two balconies with an excellent view of the pool. We have stayed at Ekiz Apartments three years in a row and your
apartment has by far been the best. The 3 bedroom penthouse, which we think is fabulous, is too big for

Just to let you know that we really enjoyed staying in your 3 bedroom apartment in Ekiz. Plenty of room for the
six of us and within easy reach of local shops, supermarket and buses. There are a number of excellent
restaurants very close by with some really cheap breakfasts! The local staff at Ekiz are really nice and will do anything to help. Pool is great and its amazing how many people you meet just going for a swim in the

Dear Kathy, We enjoyed our two weeks at your lovely apartment. The heat we were so anxious about because
of the little ones, was not as intense as we feared, the absence of humidity and no mosquitoes also helped.
The temperature did touch 50C a couple of times, but the lovely clean pool and the availability of cornettos and
lollies was more than enough to help us stay in the sun. The kiddies pool being in the shade from about 3.30pm. We liked the food wherever we ate. Everyone at Ekiz was so friendly. Paul Morris. Pontypridd,

Very nice apartment, in a well secure complex, very well equipped. Easy walking distance to local shops
and only a 5 minute Dolmus ride into Altinkum. I would highly recommend this to families and also couples.
Nothing was too much trouble for the staff on the complex who greet you with such a friendly manner. The
pool was kept in excellent condition and Kathy the owner very nice and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. We
