About the home

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. A spacious apartment located in a quiet residential area but only a short 2-3 minutes walk to dolphin square, the heart of Altinkum.

Modern fully furnished ground floor Apartment with all modern appliances including DVD player and TV.
There are 2 bedrooms,one with double bed, with a balcony the other with 2 single beds.There is also a sofa bed and a fold-up bed.
A fully fitted kitchen and living room with balcony and all rooms fully air-conditioned. Both balconies over look the shared onsite swimming pool.

All bed linen and towels are provided for indoor use, please note there are no beach towels, therefore you will have to bring your own. Please do not take the towels from the apartment for use by the pool or on the beach.

The Aegean Coast region

The Aegean Coast with its long, warm summers and short, mild winters, boasts some of the most beautiful landscapes in Turkey. In summer temperatures can reach into the 40s and with the cooling sea breezes offers the perfect holiday climate. Whether you like popular holiday resorts, secluded beaches, idyllic fishing harbours or the remains of ancient civilizations, it offers something for everyone. Rich in scenic beauty, agricultural wealth and heartland of classical civilisations, many of the most famous legends from ancient Hellenic and Roman times can be traced to these shores. In this region where the countless events of mythology took place at almost every turn, one will counter the theatres, temples and agoras of ancient cities. There are many places of interest in the region to suit every taste - historical sites, the most famous of which is the ancient city Ephesus, dating back almost 8000 years and under excavation. Beautiful Bafa Lake, a bird watchers paradise with many nesting sites for rare species, the mud baths of Dalyan, Turtle Beach, Pammukale, quaint wine making villages and a host of other sights to see all within easy reach of Altinkum. For retail therapy there is the cosmopolitan town of Bodrum with numerous shopping centres and arcades as well as an ancient castle and a large marina. Kusadasi is just one hour away and boasts one of the largest marinas in the region with luxury cruise liners mooring regularly. In Soke there is an outlet shopping arcade with restaurants and also on the road back from Soke there are many shopping outlets, these can be accessed by bus or by hiring a car.

The Altinkum / Camlik Mah area

Altinkum means "golden sands" it is well known throughout the region for its beautiful sandy beaches and bustling beach front full of restaurants, bars and nightclubs for all the family. It is surely one of the best holiday destinations in Turkey for British people. In this part of Turkey you will get 225 days of sunshine throughout the year. It is also a superb base for beach lovers looking to achieve the perfect tan. A dip in the clear waters of the Aegean provides the ultimate way to cool off whilst for the more energetic a variety of water sports are available. Altinkum is a quiet resort by day but comes to life in the evenings with many restaurants and bars. The local market sells leather goods, clothes, lace and local produce. The harbour offers a good selection of boat trips to local coves and beaches that run daily throughout the summer months as well as Ferries that run to Bodrum in season. Altinkum life centres around Dolphin Square, with its shops, pavement cafes, restaurants and nightclubs. Stroll to the end of Dolphin Square and you are faced with the stunning golden sands of Altinkum's main beach and the rich blue hues of the Aegean Sea. A right turn will lead down one side of the promenade, with more restaurants, bars and nightspots. Altinkum beaches do not stop there. Altinkum can boast of many such beaches along its coastline. At the end of the road there is a small secluded beach that has a restaurant. Further on is Third beach where you can relax on its golden sands, swim in the clear waters of the Aegean Sea or enjoy the water sports activities. The sea shelves gently and is perfect for non-swimmers and small children. Popular for years with British holiday makers who return to the resort year after year, the pace is very laid back; the style relaxed and very friendly. A dolmus (local bus) ride away Altinkum has its own Aqua Park. Didim Marina Yacht Club/Hotel is an interesting place to visit; swimming pool, fitness centre, tennis court, sports facilities. There is also a shopping centre and supermarket. The harbour offers boat trips to local islands and coves and there are ferries to Bodrum. For a fun day out there is the the Didim aquapark which has its own regular bus service. Altinkum is the perfect location for exploring the many places of interest in the region. The famous Temple of Apollo is just 1 km away from the centre of the resort. The ancient ruins of the city of Ephesus and the quaint winemaking village of Sirince are just one hour away. Turtle Beach, Pamukkale, Bafa Lake and the mud baths of Dalyan are within easy reach. If shopping is your thing then Altinkum has a huge covered weekly market offering everything from locally grown produce to quality leather goods and designer clothing and from June - September a nightly market offering locally made crafts, clothing and souvenirs.

“Amazing location, beautiful apartment, will be going again” We were a group of 4 the location is perfect a short walk to bars, dolphin square and the beautiful beach. The apartment was fantastic was clean, the pool was clean and quiet. Would defiantly stay again. Lots of good food places around particually romeos, lots of places close by to do shopping, reps walk along the beach all day offering tours to the aqua park (adaland) were you can swim with dolphins, also boats trips and turkish baths. Dolmus stop is a 2 min walk from the apartment perfect holiday for all
