Home description
A modern spacious fully furnished and equipped 3rd floor two storey apartment with all modern cons There are two double and two twin-bedrooms. All are fully furnished with ample wardrobe and drawer space and three of the bedrooms have access to balconies or the sun terrace. There is a spacious open plan lounge, dining area and kitchen. The modern fully fitted kitchen has a full size cooker, large fridge freezer and a microwave. There is a large dining table and the lounge area includes a TV, with satellite system and DVD player for your relaxation and enjoyment. The lounge is comfortably furnished with plenty of sofas and chairs for 8-10. The sofa also converts to a double bed. There are shower rooms with enclosed shower cubicles on both floors and a separate WC on the lower level. The upper floor bathroom houses the washing machine. The apartment has air conditioning in all rooms and is fully eqipped with everything you could need. There are furnished balconies and the large sun terrace is furnished with a table and chairs, sunloungers and a built-in BBQ.

The Aegean Coast region
The Aegean coast has long hot and dry summers and mild winters. In summer temperatures can reach into the 40s and with the cooling sea breezes offers the perfect holiday climate for those looking for sun, sea and sand! There are many places of interest in the region to suit every taste - historical sites galore, the most famous of which is the ancient city Ephesus,dating back almost 8000 years and under excavation for the last 110, the city is the size of Manchester and remarkably intact. Beautiful Bafa Lake, a bird watchers paradise with many nesting sites for rare species, the mud baths of Dalyan, Turtle Beach, Pammukale, quaint winemaking villages and a host of other sights to see all within easy reach of Altinkum. For retail therapy there is the cosmopolitan town of Bodrum with numerous shopping centres and arcades as well as an ancient castle and a large marina. Kusadasi is just one hour away and boasts one of the largest marinas in the region with luxury cruise liners mooring regularly
Altinkum / Didim area
Altinkum / Didim is a quiet resort, that comes to life at night with plenty of wonderful restaurants and bars to suit all tastes and cuisines. Some offer traditional Turkish evenings with belly dancers,dancing troupes and other entertainments. For the more lively, there are several dance clubs and bars in the resort, the best of which is the Medusa open air colloseum which plays disco music into the early hours.
The harbour offers boat trips to local islands and coves and there are ferries to Bodrum and the Greek island of Kos. For a fun day out there is the the Didim aquapark which has its own regular bus service.
Altinkum is the perfect location for exploring the many places of interest in the region. The famous Temple of Apollo is just 1 km away from the centre of the resort. The ancient ruins of the city of Ephesus and the quaint winemaking village of Sirince are just one hour away. Turtle Beach, Pamukkale, Bafa lake and the mud baths of Dalyan are within easy reach. If shopping is your thing then Altinkum has a huge covered weekly market offering everything from locally grown produce to quality leather goods and designer clothing and from June - September a nightly market offering locally made crafts, clothing and souveneirs.
Further afield are the designer outlet stores in Soke, 45 mins away, Bodrum with its huge choice of shopping centres, castle and marina is 1.5 hours and Kusadassi is one hour away.

By coach or car transfer from Bodrum or Izmir airports British Airways and KTHY (Cyprus Turkish airlines) operate scheduled flights to Izmir from London and Stanstead Onur Air (Aegean flights) operate charter flights to Izmir and Bodrum from many UK destinations As from April 2009 Easi-Jet and Pegasus airlines will offer budget priced flights to Bodrum from London airports Airport Transfers and Car Hire can be arranged at competitive prices.

Just a short note to say thank you very much for letting us stay at your Altinkum apartment. It was fully equipped, clean and the air-con was very powerfull, just what you need in temperatures of 40+. Also thank you for helping us out at such short notice. The set up of being able to collect the keys immediately in Altinkum helped us greatly. The location of the apartments is also superb for all the restaurants of the main beach and 3rd beach area, and we did not need a car at all.
