Home description
Newly completed (2007) Two Story Penthouse on small complex with shared swimming pool. There is also a kiddie’s pool and a small playground. There are two twin bedrooms and one double bedroom all with Air Conditioning. Sleeps 6 people or 8 if sofa bed is used. The main bathroom is on the 2nd level and has a Jacuzzi bath, sink and toilet; there is also a wet room with toilet on the 1st level close to the bedrooms. The large private rooftop terrace is excellent for sun bathing or having an evening meal cooked on the built in BBQ. The first and second bedrooms have balconies. The main bedroom and roof terrace overlook the pool so keeping an eye on the kids is not a problem. The dining kitchen is fully equipped for the self-caterer. The lounge is Air Conditioned and has Satellite TV with ENGLISH Movies, Sport, News and Childrens channels. There is DVD player. Bed linen and towels are provided. The apartment has its own washing machine. There are plenty of bars and restaurants within a few minutes walk. A large supermarket and various small shops are close by. The main beach is 15 min walk and the Third beach is 20 min walk. The complex has a caretaker keeping his eye on things 24 hours a day.

The Aegean Coast region
The climate can reach 35°C during the peak season. Altinkum benefits from gentle sea breezes and there are several gently shelving safe beaches. All have golden sands and beautiful clear water. The main holiday season runs from the beginning of May to the end of October. There are many places of interest within easy reach and plenty of local tour operators who you can arrange your trips with if you wish.
Altinkum / Didim area
Altinkum means Golden Sands and the beaches certainly live up to their name. The resort stretches along the main beach with many excellent restaurants, bars and shops and several night clubs. There is a busy and lively Saturday market where you can find all sorts of bargains and fresh local produce. Altinkums position makes it an ideal base for site seeing. The Temple of Apollo is a short bus ride away and the famous ruins of Ephesus and the Roman Baths at Pamukkale are wihin easy reach. Bodrum is well worth a visit and can be reached by road or ferry and a boat trip along the coast is also a good way to soak up the sun. There is an excellent Water Park approx 7km away that can be reached by local minibuses for about £0.70.
How to get there
Fly to Bodrum airport or Izmir airport Altinkum is about 1 Hour from Bodrum airport and about 1 hour 15 mins from Izmir. Transfer from Bodrum airport can be arranged at approx £50.00 for four people or approx £65 for 6 people. This is payable locally. Transfers from Izmir will be a little more expensive. It is also possible to get a shuttle bus for around £7.50 per person.
