Royal Marina is a new 5* luxury gated complex with 24hr CCTV set in spacious landscaped gardens with 2 semi Olympic sized Swimming Pools with a further 2 Children's pools. If you can't be bothered cooking why not try a Turkish or full English breakfast at the friendly PoolBar/Restaurant. Tasty snacks and evening meals are also available. Facilities include children's entertainment areas with play park, pool tables, play stations, table tennis.

Situated just a short stroll away from Altinkums glorious sandy beaches where a range of watersports can be found. There are also plenty of Shops, Bars & Restaurants all within walking distance where you can relax and enjoy an evening meal or party the night away at one of the local night clubs.

Why not visit Didim Market where you will find a whole host of bargains. Don't forget to "haggle" to make sure you get the best prices for Leather Handbags, football tops and "Designer" clothes.

Conditions

A non refundable deposit of £50 is payable at the time of booking to secure the dates with the balance payable 6 weeks prior to departure.

A refundable breakages deposit of £50 is required, payable with the final payment, and will be refunded within 2 weeks of your return (subject to satisfactory property inspection).

There is a lift in the apartment building as well as ramps around the complex providing wheelchair access.

Third Beach

The Aegean Coast region

Altinkum is situated on the southern Aegean coast of Turkey and is a beach lovers paradise. With crystal clear warm waters and golden sandy beaches enjoying year round sunshine with temperatures ranging from 20 Degrees in February up to 40+ Degrees in August.

There are many places of historical interest to visit including -
Pammukale (famous for Thermal Springs - nicknamed "Cotton Castle") - 90 min drive
Ephesus (one of the world's best preserved ancient Roman city) - 75 min drive
World famous Mud Baths at Dalyan - day trips can be booked locally

The Altinkum / Didim area

Altinkum (translated means "golden sands") has 3 fine beaches with shallow clear water making it perfect for children and families. A range of watersports are available including scuba diving, "banana" boats, pedaloes, sailing etc.

There are plenty of beachfront bars & restaurants offering a variety of menus from International to local Turkish cuisine. If you want nightlife you will find a number of bars/nightclubs near Dolphin Square to suit all tastes.

Visit places of local interest such as the Temple of Apollo (10 mins in Dolmus) dating from 300BC and the new Aquapark again just 10 mins drive away (day trips can be booked on site).

Various Dolmus services operate in and around Altinkum/Didim area and typically cost 1 Lira per journey. A number of Restaurants also operate a free pick up/return service. Our favourite is Valentines where you can get a sumptious meal for around £8 per person.

A new 650 berth Marina opened in September 2009 providing a further range of bars/restaurants & shops. he Marina is only a 15 minute walk from the apartment. There are also plans to open two new Golf Courses within a 10 min drive of Royal Marina complex.

A visit to the weekly market is a must for those that are shopaholics and don't mind haggling. Boat trips are available either on site or locally and provide a fantastic day out (imagine swimming in the sparkling clear waters of the Aegean!). If you want to be more adventurous, why not try an exciting Jeep Safari, be warned you WILL get wet!!

Bodrum (transfer time 75 mins) is the nearest International Airport to Altinkum. Flights are also available to Izmir (transfer time 105 mins).
Cheap flights are available from various European countries and most UK airports, some suggested websites are -

“ELECTRICITY CUT OFF FOR NON PAYMENT OF BILL DURING OUR STAY” Be wary - apartment grubby and stank of smoke. Previous occupants remnants of toiletries, sun tan lotion etc., left scattered around. Returned from the beach on day 2 to find electricity cut off!... more
