About the home

Situated in the Royal Marina 5* complex. The complex boasts 2 Semi Olympic Swimming pools and another 2 pools for children. There is 24 hour security on the complex; all visiting families will love the large play area and games room keeping the little ones happy for the holiday making time for adults to relax in the grand surroundings.

Just off the lounge there is a large balcony with patio table and chairs making it a perfect place to enjoy a family breakfast taking in the breath taking views.

The apartment is in a peaceful location, and is approx 5-10 minutes’ walk where you will discover a surprising choice of beaches together with local restaurants and bars. There are local markets that run and for those of you who wish to be a little less land based you can take boat trips. There is plenty to see and do here. If you have a car or don’t mind an adventure on local transport you could take a short drive or bus trip which will allow you to visit wonderful attractions there are; the Apollo Theatre or the whole family can have fun in Altinkum's Aqua Park.

This makes an ideal base for a family holiday, relax and unwind in the sun and on the beach.

The Aegean Coast region

The Aegean Coast is famous for its clear blue seas and light golden sandy beaches; it is perfect for lazing away hot sunny days and balmy nights.

This particular area has many interesting places to visit such as 'The Apollo Temple', one of the Ancient Seven Wonders of the World. There are also historical ruins of 'Ephesus' and the amazing frozen waterfalls of 'Pamukkale'.

Locally there are also boat trips, horse riding, markets and Aqua Park, you can enjoy these activities and they are close by you can walk ,go by car or taxi car or t enjoy a ride on the cheap local bus (Dolmus).

The Altinkum / Didim area

Altinkum literal tranlastion is 'Golden Sands', there are 3 glorious sandy beaches that are evidence of that
The beaches are lapped by shallow water and that means its t an ideal place for children to bathe and splash in.
Royal Marina is a round a 5 minute walk to a smaller beach,this particular beach runs a free mini bus to shuttle you back and forth , you can mae a day of it as there is a restaurant there also.

The seafront has a good selection of shops along with bars and restaurants. Why not pop into a local reatuarant and try a taste of the local cuisine, of course there will be plenty of choice for all tastes.
If you want to let your hair down in the evening you will find a that there is a good nightlife , featuring something for everyone to enjoy.

Only a short drive or bus ride away you can visit local areas one of theses is Akbuk, this is a tiny fishing village surrounded by olive trees or Akkoy,in every way an unspoilt traditional Greek style village.

For the shppers you will delight in the market that runs in Didim every Saturday , you may like to 'haggle' for some bargins and take a piece of Turkey home with you.

If you want to work on your tan and want to do it on a different vbeach there are daily boat trips, just one of these is 'The 5 Stop Boat Trip' it comes highly recommended and is moderately priced.

“RESPONSE” I was not aware of the sunbeds, and i now have brought some. I did mention that i was not aware i needed to pay for these due to to them being free last week, its a new thing for this year. I did apologise to the couple, You cant please everyone

“Buyer Beware!” This apartment is on a reasonably new complex and is light and airy, apart from the shower room, and has a large balcony, BUT, if you are looking for a poolside holiday forget it, this owner has no sunbeds and there are no others to be had. In an odd situation all sunbeds are chained to the ballustrade around the pool and clearly marked with the said apartment number, it took us quite some time to realise there were none for our 2 week stay - unless we wanted to sit on the concrete. The advert is misleading here as the photograph clearly shows sunbeds around the pool and the owner fails to mention he does not have any. We had to find other means and spent our 2 weeks around another pool with free sunbeds. The inconvenience was not small. Its a shame as it put a total blot on our intended 2 weeks doing nothing. Make sure any property owner on this complex has sunbeds if you need them - dont take it for granted they will be supplied.
