Sunflower apartments are in an ideal position in the town of Didim. The apartment has an en-suite master bedroom, a second double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a sofa bed in the living area. Each room opens onto a sun soaked balcony which makes it ideal for eating alfresco. The shared pool includes a children's section and you haven't got to be up at 6am with your towel to grab a sun lounger. Enjoy a pina colada from the pool side bar when you feel the urge (well, you are on holiday after all).
From the apartment a 2 minute walk takes you to the main street which is populated with great bars and restaurants serving ice cold drinks and a great selection of local and international dishes. A gentle 20 minute stroll takes you to the hustle and bustle of the beach front which is relaxed in the daytime but comes alive at night. If you don't fancy walking take advantage of the courtesy bus from the apartments which runs 3 times a day.
A family of 4 can eat out for as little as £15 in the local restaurants so why bother cooking, although there are 3 supermarkets within 5 minutes of the apartment for your essentials (the cost of eating out varies the closer you get to the beach). The majority of the restaurants run a delivery service so you can take your pick from their menu and they deliver to your door (ideal if you have young children who go to bed early or if you just want a quiet night in). Alternatively, the local restaurants will pick you up and take you safely home when you have finished your meal.
You are also only 5 minutes from the famous Didim market which takes place every Saturday. Get your negotiating skills ready as there are plenty of bargains to be had.

Altinkum / Didim area
Didim is a small town on the western Aegean coast of Turkey. Didim is the name of the district but it includes a number of small towns including Altinkum, Yenihisar, Mavisehir and Akbuk. It is a popular holiday resort with long sandy beaches, watersports, hotels, a weekly market, a waterpark and the historic Temple of Apollo at Didyma.
Didim is neighbour to Bafa Lake; a national park; the Büyük Menderes river (historically called the "Maeander", from which the word "meander" derives), and the historic cities of Miletos and Priene. Didim has its own microclimate and benefits from hundreds of days of sun a year as well as warm winters, allowing residents to enjoy the famous beach even in January. Didim is much closer to ancient towns and natural wonders than most of the other holiday resorts of Turkey.
Altinkum is popular with British tourists, although many Turkish people visit during the holiday season. There is a wealth of bars and restaurants offering a range of Turkish and British food. The beach-side restaruants tend to cater mostly for British Tourists but if you venture further afield to Didim, you will find a wide selection of great value, authentic Turkish restaurants. The resort offers a balance between a quiet beach holiday with a lively nightlife; the beaches are beautiful and are very safe for children and families due to the shallow waters.
How to get there
You can fly to either Bodrum or Izmir. The transfer time from Bodrum is approximately 1hour and from Izmir 1hour 30 minutes. Private airport transfers can be arranged for you at very reasonable rates.

The master bedroom is en-suite and has a double bed, double wardrobe and dressing table. The patio doors open onto a sun soaked balcony. The second bedroom is also a double bedroom with a double bed, wardrobe and patio doors onto the same balcony as the master bedroom. The third bedroom has twin beds and opens onto the main balcony overlooking the pool
The living roon has two large sofas with a TV, DVD player and satellite TV. The living room opens onto the main balcony which overlooks the pool and is an excellent extension to the living area.
