Relatively private beach 2 mins walk from the villa (note no facilities at this beach). There is sometimes a daily bus service into centre of Didim from the complex. A marina in the next bay for those who like boating. Didim is a thriving holiday town with night clubs, restaurants, shops, markets and cafes.
Booking is direct with the owner, we also have another identical property on the same complex, 3 villas away. This means if a large group/family wish to go at the same time we have the ability to accommodate them. However, please note that you shouldn't all congregate in the same villa due to noise for the neighbour.
Please note that the swimming pools are closed during the winter period, and on the rare occasion during summer for short periods if maintenance required..
The Aegean Coast region
Didim is a true taste of Turkey. It enjoys a splendid mix of influences with many Turkish and cosmopolitan restaurants, shops of all shapes and sizes and a large Saturday street market, which is a treat not to be missed. The whole area is steeped in ancient history, with the famous ruined temple of Apollo only a few minutes drive away. The Roman city of Ephesus, to which there are daily coach tours, was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and is regarded as the best preserved ancient city in Asia Minor. The coastal area around Didim is known as Altinkum (literally ‘Golden Sands’), and the area certainly lives up to its name with miles of glorious coastline framed by a spectacular mountain backdrop. Dolphin Square is the main centre of Altinkum, and this is where you will find many fascinating restaurants, bars and shops.
Based around the traditional Turkish town of Didim on Turkey’s beautiful Aegean coast, conveniently situated about one hour’s drive from Bodrum. Bodrum and Izmir – slightly further up the coast – are served by a total of 22 regional and international UK airports, many of which now offer low cost flights.
For the energetic, spend a day trying the many water sports on offer and finish by enjoying the lively nightlife scene. Shopaholics will love the many market stalls and bazaar traders, where great bargains on rugs and gold jewellery can be found. Each night, the promenade comes alive with friendly local Turkish families strolling up and down to the sounds of live Turkish music. As many European visitors who are drawn back year after year will happily confirm, the locals are warm and welcoming, encouraging visitors to enjoy the exotic delights of a place where East meets West.
